There's always a deal to be had on a router if you look. Also, if you can hold out 2.5 more months, Black Friday is usually a good way to score one cheap. |

IGN have revealed some new monsters for the upcoming 'Godzilla: Unleashed' game.

Here's some news another Japan-only titles heading elsewhere on the VC. Also, if you read the comments, someone points out that the unreleased outside of Japan NES version of Super Mario Bros. Lost Levels was released in Australia. I'm pretty sure both are in the vain of Battle Lode Runner in that there was no localization work to be done, but it's still something! http://gonintendo.com/?p=24389 Also, Octopuzzle, a puzzle game from the makers of Puyo Puyo (!!!) is coming to the US! |

It's up to Bonk once again to thwart the plans of the relentless evil King Drool. There are seven rounds scattered throughout the Dinosaur Kingdom, each one filled with fun contraptions and comical enemies. Grab a Flower Copter or exchange 16 Smileys at the end of each round to play up to eight different bonus stages. Or you can change the size of Bonk by grabbing the new red or blue candy items. Depending on the situation, you can change your size to bonk your way through a dead end or to get a hard-to-reach item. And if that's not enough, you can grab a friend and put your heads together to defeat King Drool in the new two-player mode.

There's also a USB adapter to enable a wired connection to the Wii. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000TPIWJW/ |

So in a week where I had my 2nd 360 go bad, my Wii decides it doesn't want to turn on. I tried the remote and the button on the console but nothing would take it out of stand by and power it up. Finally I had to unplug the power supply from the console and replug it then at that point it came on.
This is the 2nd time this has happened with my Wii and while it's certainly not a major deal, like the 360's flaws, it still makes one wonder what the fuck is up with this generation's gaming consoles. It's like they all have "issues" ranging from minor(wii not turning on) to major 360's RROD. I don't have a PS3 so I'm not aware of any issue(s?) with them, other than the price ;), but I'm sure they're there lurking somewhere. Maybe these companies need to get better design and engineering folks. EDIT:Then later, I put in Wii Play and I heard clicking then I got disc read error. I tried again and I heard the same clicking which sounded like something was trying to read the disc but it couldn't so it was repeating the movement over and over. I hit eject then reset and finally it worked. I hope this isn't something that's going to happen more often. Geezus, still nothing major but is it me and bad luck with consoles? |
Rumors are still circulating about Okami as well. I never did get that for PS2.
Robo, I've had the same thing happen with the power once or twice. I think it's a software issue with WiiConnect...so no big deal. I suspect they'll sort it out with an update directly. |
Interesting comparison in graphics between Metroid Prime 2 and Metroid Prime 3:

Luckily most people aren't buying wiis for the upgraded graphics anyway. Those comparison screens don't show a lot extra to me, but I haven't seen the game in motion.

I don't see a very large difference either

Does anyone think Mario Party 8 will become a bargain priced "greatest hits" or remain remotely overpriced like the last seven even when the next installment arrives?
|
overpriced.
You have two problems. 1) It takes forever for anything 1st party to go 'Greatest Hits/Gold Edition/Whatever.' 2) By the time it would be eligible for that program they will have already released MP 9 and maybe even MP 10. |
The other problem being that MP8 sucks..

I admit, it was my first in the series, but there have been some in the media who have played the series heavily (John Davidson from 1UP for example) who have been pretty negative on the 8th entry. Of course, different people, different experiences.

I've always been a big Nintendo fan, but I do feel the need to state that I've had my PS3 since February and it has performed flawlessly. With all the mistakes that Sony has made this generation, I'm at least happy that the machine seems to be solidly built. (Plus, all of the stories about the dying 360's helped me choose the PS3 as my HD console). |
MP8 was my first in the series too. I liked/like it. I like the convenience of playing board games electronically.
Anubis2005X- that happened to me too, it was most visible on RE4. I sent in my Wii postpaid and got a replacement back in ten days, I think (it was over a holiday as well). They handled it well, though of course I'd prefer it not to break at all. The sturdiness/reliability of this gen's "next gen" consoles is a little worrisome...the tech is getting better and more complex, and the devices are getting more like computers, which probably isn't helping. |
