What accessories do you guys recommend? I know I need to pick up a 2nd nunchuck but I'm wondering if there's other must have items. Is the charge station a good purchase?

Mine is technically already paid for since I did the "Trade Two Get One" deal some time ago.. but I was going to pick up Blue Dragon this week as well. Is there a way to get one of these for a store near me? I'm not driving to Grapevine to save $6 and I know they'll nitpick if I bring that in (knowing my luck, at least).

They shouldn't complain if you try to use it at another store. I used the coupon at a store in Oregon without any issues.

Much like the Xbox 360 battery packs, it's probably better to just get a AA charger and a few sets of 2500 nimh batteries.

I wouldn't compare Ghouls n Ghosts to Splatterhouse... but if I had to pick one of GnG or Super C, I'd take Super C.

But then again, I may have just been grown tired of the G'nG series by the time I got to this entry. After my obsession with beating the NES Ghosts 'n Goblins (both times, stupid stupid stupid twist) I was burnt out.

I'm not sure if this is an actual question but, yes, according to the Wiki list of VC games, it is the Genesis version.

This may be a stupid question, but is getting an SD card for the wii normally needed?

Also, I just found out that the Opera browser is no longer free thanks to this thread. If these hadn't been impossible to find for the last 10 months, I'd have a browser now. Boo on you Nintendo! :)

Toad 08-27-07 04:06 PM

I don't need a SD card yet.

Jeremy517 08-27-07 04:12 PM

Even if you do decide to buy one, any brand will do. It doesn't have to be the overpriced Nintendo-brand card.

Yeah, I'd be generic all the way. Sounds like it isn't needed usually though. Thanks!

EGM Rumor:

What does a successful Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition have Capcom considering?

Spoiler:
Something with a wolf and a paintbrush. :D2:

Supermallet 08-29-07 08:44 AM

The PS2 version of Okami actually works really well. While the paintbrush aspect just screams Wii, it's very well implemented on the PS2, and the graphics are so stylized that a jump to the Wii wouldn't make a difference graphically. So really, there'd have to be a load of excellent new content in order to make it a worthwhile repurchase. Of course, for anyone who never got it on the PS2, it would be a must have.

Groucho 08-29-07 08:46 AM

To be fair, the Gamecube version of RE4 worked really well too.

But I'd rather see a sequel than a port of Okami.

spainlinx0 08-29-07 08:48 AM

I never got it for the PS2, so I would be very excited for a Wii version.

Ditto.

Yes, but the PS2 version had good extra content, which was included with the Wii version. the PS2 had shitty graphics, but the Wii had the GC graphics, so not only did you get the better graphics, but you got the extra content AND the better controls. At the moment there's no word of extra content, and the graphics would offer no improvement. Plus, changing the controls of RE4 meant a fundamental change to the way the player interacted with the game. Converting the controls of Okami would make a superficial, albeit appropriate difference in the overall experience. Which is what led me to the statement that this would be a good purchase for those who did not get the PS2 version, but a straight port would not be a recommended buy for someone who already has the current release.

I'd love that, too, but with Clover disbanded and several of their top people now at other companies, I worry about any sequel being a cheap cash-in.

I have this on the PS2, but would gladly buy it again on the Wii. One of the best PS2 games out there.

steebo777 08-29-07 10:14 AM

I'd buy it on the Wii. I'm already considering buying it on the PS2 when I get time to play it.

I, however, played through all 40 glorious hours of it on the PS2, and would gladly play through it again on the Wii.

My most wanted Wii game (after Metroid and DQ: Swords) has been sort of announced in Japan this week: Wii Love Golf. After enjoying the golf game on Wii Sports, I had REALLY wanted Mario Golf. Well, Wii Love Golf is being made by the same development team, just without the Mario characters.. so yeah. I'm excited. Hopefully it has a good character creation tool.

Toad 08-29-07 12:28 PM

I relly wanted Mario Golf, too. Is it in the works at all?

Is there a U.S. release date for Wii Love Golf?

PixyJunket 08-29-07 12:38 PM

Wii Love Golf should be Mario Golf without Mario, essentially (or at least I hope it is). I doubt they're working on a separate Mario version since this is in the works. No dates yet, as it was just revealed this week in Japanese magazines.

IamFlip 08-31-07 01:26 AM

Is there a way to save your game progress in Super Mario Bros. (VC)?
