Too bad it's all in Japanese... hmm, let's see... I'll take some of the light brown, mix it with some of the medium dark brown, shake slightly, and, voila, medium brown mix drink.

I love how that Bartender software is already on "Volume 3". The Japanese must all carry their DS's around prepared for any possible scenario.

I'm waiting for Wikipedia DS myself.

I caught that too. Wikipedia would be fantastic, just probably a little tough to keep properly edited.... haha.

I think I'm deep enough in to finally say this:

Etrian Odyssey might be my favorite DS game of all time.

I just read up on this. Looks interesting. I remember mapping games on graph paper "back in the day".

I'll cut you off at the pass, you can only save in town and the monsters (particularly the FOEs) are brutal. But, if you ever played any of the first-person dungeon crawlers on PC from "back in the day," it's at least a lot easier than those evil bastards.

Save points aren't that big a deal on DS games since you can just clam the thing shut.

I absolutely love that feature. Excellent for work use.

Has anyone been playing Heroes of Mana. I just started it and don't quite know what to think yet. It's basically a full RTS complete will structure building (although this happens in your ship so you don't actually place them) and resource gathering. I'm going to stick with it a bit more before I make a final judgment but I'm enjoying it so far.

Oddly enough in a game like this it doesn't bother me. I have played through a few of the Dungeon games and I expect to lose it all if I can't get my ass back to town. I have been spoiled by the later Mystery Dungeon games letting you keep your experience points.

I will end up getting this one based on your recommendation. The map drawing put me off at first, but it actually sounds like an odd feature done well.

According to IGN, the official list of the songs appearing in Jam Sessions is as follows:

* Amy Winehouse - "You know I'm no good"
* Avril Lavigne - "I'm With You"
* Beck - "Jackass"
* Blind Melon - "No rain"
* Bob Marley - "No woman no cry"
* Bob Dylan - "Like a rolling stone"
* Cheap Trick - "Surrender"
* Coldplay - "Yellow"
* Death Cab for Cutie - "I will follow you into the dark"
* Jackson 5 - "Never can say goodbye"
* James Taylor - "How sweet it is to be loved by you"
* Janis Joplin - "Me and Bobby McGee"
* Johnny Cash - "I Forgot More Than You'll Ever Know"
* Marvin Gaye - "What's going on?"
* Nirvana - "The man who sold the world"
* Rascal Flatts - "Life is a Highway"
* The Fray - "Over my head"

Furthermore, Best Buy will have an exclusive with three more songs:

* Brad Paisley - "I'm gonna miss her"
* Jimi Hendrix - "Wild thing"
* Tom Petty - "Needles and pins"

I'm not too crazy about a good portion of the songs in the above list, but it's good to see that the developers minimized the amount of "current hits" in favor of a more even spread among "current" and "classic" tracks. The song choices in Elite Beat Agents didn't bother me much, once I started playing, so all should be golden here also. Can't wait till this comes out!

I may like it despite the music, but I'm definitely not excited about the list.

Yeah, I definitely could do without the country and Avril Lavigne tracks, at least. What they should/could have done is released two different editions of the game: an "Electric" edition and an "Acoustic" edition. Maybe for the sequel ...

I personally love Nirvana's cover of TMWSTW, but I'm not sure how "jamming" it is.

I'm considering getting Brain Age 2. I can get it for $10 CAD altogether. Just wondering if it's worth it, since I already have the first one. I hear there's a version of Dr. Mario on the cart as well. Anyone care to comment on that? Is it a full version, etc?

Thanks. Actually, I haven't even gotten around to playing the first one ... I am woefully behind on my DS games ... but I can't pass up a good deal ... I picked up the first Brain Age for $10 CAD altogether as well. I'm just trying to figure out whether the version of Dr. Mario that is on the cart is a full version or some gimped out mini-game.

It's probably a gimped mini-game. If they release a Dr. Mario it will be branded as such to sell a boatload of copies.

Just an assumption though.

i honestly haven't played my copy much at all. I do like the piano game that has you play children songs with the touch pad, but thats about it.

Id say IF it had the full version of Dr. Mario, it would easily be worth the 10 canadian for that alone

I haven't unlocked it either, but reading the manual it's not Dr. Mario but a clone. It does seem to have multiple levels, but that's all I can tell.

What is Jame Session? I hadn't heard of it before, but if it has No Woman No Cry on it it has piqued my interest.

It's the DS's answer to Guitar Hero ... until Guitar Hero DS that is.

So it is like Elite Beat in that you tap in time to the beat (like that new High School Musical game)?

Network/WiFi Game Recommendations

All,

What are your recommendations as to the best/most fun WiFi/Internet games for the DS?

Also, I have seen a couple mentions about FF3 and Etrian Odyssey in the DS threads. Anyone who knows care to comment on the differences between them?

Thanks!

Let's talk Namco Museum DS for a minute. Specifically, Pac-Man Vs.

Has anyone heard if it is WFC or just local multiplayer? Also, will it make the GameCube version completely obsolete?
