If BD loses (they won't), you still have your movies and a working player. And by the time BD "loses" (2009 at the earliest), you can get a replacement player for $199 or less.

Same thing with HD DVD. If the format "fails" I still have movies in HD. There's no loss.

I was hoping for something exciting to push me to get a PS3 this year. As it looks Ill probably get an elite 360 for the HDMI when I get my new TV. Then maybe after the new year Ill look at ps3 again.
