I would try the demo first, but the AI is quite good on this game. Still, it's a lot more fun with real people (local co-op is also an option).

I'm afraid to play this demo since I'm so involved with Fallout 3 right now... Is the demo co-op?

Demo has co-op and single player options, the "versus" mode is disabled.

didn't know the demo was up. going to download it and check it out. game is already headed my way anyway, but should be a nice time filler until it's in my hands.

I just got done playing the Single player and <b>I agree on all the above points</b>. The AI was insanely good. They did everything I needed WITHOUT BE TOLD TO DO IT! And you left out that they can do it for each other too so that helps a great deal. :up: I can kinda see where they might be a little "too good", but it seems the Zombie attacks and sheer numbers kinda force you to fight rather than sitting back and letting them do all the work.

The Tom Clancy Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon programmers need to sit down with the folks who did this game.

This might be the best demo I have ever played. Not that it is the greatest game, but the demo did its job...made me want to buy the game. Hell this went from nothing to a must have during the first 5 minutes. I should have known Valve would come through on this one.

I've been playing for the last two hours on expert. Fun little game. Normal is way to easy. Expert is very hard, but I'm not sure if it is to hard. I think they should have given the tank a weakness to head shots or something. Someone will go down when fighting a tank on expert.

demo was pretty good. can definitely see this as a pretty fun game if you can round up 4 people for co-op.

Played over the weekend. Really fun game.

Shotgun is the best weapon ever.... I had a zombie running up to me and got a head shot on him about 3 feet away from my guy and his freakin head exploded all over my screen! Zombies are the BEST!

So there is a way to create a private game with the demo and invite a friend? My friend and I couldn't figure it out yesterday... we would create a lobby, invite each other, and then not receive the invites.

re: the witch. I heard the screaming in the very last room of the second demo level. I wiped out all the zombies in the room, then on the way up to the safe room I noticed a female zombie just sitting on the top of the staircase not doing anything. I shot her in the back, got the "you startled the witch... do not startle the witch" message, and next thing I knew, I was dead.

Finally played this with some friends, and tried Expert right off the bat. OMG got so owned. 3hrs later we finally finished it on advanced. I agree, probably the best demo ever, and one of the best intros ever. Can't wait until tomorrow.

On the 2nd level theres this part where I thought I found a secret passageway. Beware lol!!!!

My copy is sitting on my hard drive waiting to be unlocked. The Steam webpage says about 8 hours from now. So, about 11pm.

Just got done playing a 3 player co-op game of the first campaign, No Mercy. Damn this game is awesome. Lots of fun. The AI director really likes giving you some quiet spots followed by intense action. I love how the same levels are different everytime. The final chapter was crazy. Swarms of zombies, Boomers, Hunters, and multiple Tanks. The end credits were great. One of my friends died at the end, so the "movie" was in memory of him. :lol: I could keep playing this game all night, but I have to go to work in the morning. I can't wait to play the rest of the levels. If you've got some friends to play with, this is definately a fun game.

What are you guys getting this for, PC or 360? I played the demo on 360 and it was done very well that I don't mind playing it on the 360 (I tend to play FPS mainly on the PC) but the only reason I see getting it on the PC is for the mods and user created levels.

so got to play it for a few moments. not bad. my buddy had an issue where the demo locked up his system when he tried to play. popped the game in today and same thing happened. poor bastard. not sure what the deal is. online 4 vs. 4 is interesting. it's like the regular game, but 4 of the zombies are the opposing team. sort of an interesting concept.

I threw a Molotov cocktail at a witch. I died instantly but it gave me a "Burn the Witch" achievement.
