What sucks even harder is when you hook up with a great group who works really well together. You just finish mopping the floor with the horde at the church, aaaand you lose your connection.

Played with Larry C. last night...he TRIED to get us through on Expert, but my friends and I are just aren't that good. However, we did have a good time on easy, Achievement Hunting. Finally (after 4 ridiculous tries) got the Man vs. Tank Achievement, as did my friend. Plus, we got a Bronze on Survival for the No Mercy Level, so that was nice too. Anyway, if you're looking for a good player, I recommend him. I also invite anybody looking for a group of laid-back players basically out just for fun, look us up. I'm Grendel1974. I will warn in advance, though, the last survival match of the night with us is usually an unannounced free-for-all without summoning the horde.

Darn, missed the fun last night. Wound up playing about 6 hours during the day...friggin addicting game when you get a good set of players.

Was playing the other day and these guys were like "your good...you wanna be a part of the Elite Clan". I'm like "....sure". Not sure WTF that means.

i have tried a couple of clans in the past in other games -- sucks almost 100% of the time unless you are "actual" friends of the members.

i was asked to join this Halo 3 clan a couple of years ago, but all they did was start up a "lobby" and just talk and not play anything.

Plus don't you have to be on like every day for most clans or they kick you? One cool thing is most clans all have the same Lag/stand by Switches...

No idea. I hate the idea of it. I just want to play. Half the time they like to "race" to the end of the map. It's not fun.

I hate the racers. I played with some guy who wanted to race, but the trailing guy got smoked, so I turned around to save him. I let everyone know, but the one guy was too busy still running ahead, and he gets killed, and yells at us.

Why do people ever think it's a good idea to run off by themselves in this game? It was specifically designed so that if you do that, you're fucked.

Yeah I don't get that either. It's not HALO where you're "the star badass".

Boy amen to that. Kinda defeats the purpose of the game. Once in a great while though we'll get our revenge when they get Smoked or Huntered. "HANG ON I'M COM- Oooooh look at the pretty flower."

Now me, I like to stick close to the team. I have a pretty bad 'hero' complex and love that warm fuzzy feeling when I rescue a teammate or lob that molly or pipe at just the right moment.

And yay, I finally got to play some Versus last night without getting cursed at when a friend from another board let me join a game for about 30 minutes (had to go to work damnit). Is the game supposed to be so one-sided against the Survivors though? Seemed like every round we played they got smoked pretty quickly. Heck one round I played in we got trashed right outside the safehouse door (3% woo). It didn't help that a few times the Tank would spawn at the beginning of the round.

If the tank spawns at the beginning, and you don't have good weapons, you're done on a lot of sections.

I have that same hero thing. I am constantly paying attention to my teammates, and one of my main satisfactions is shooting off a hunter before the person even takes damage.

I hadn't noticed it being one-sided the last time I played. Obviously if you're team can't stick together, you're going to get smoked fast.

Alright, I tried playing this for the first time last night and it was just frustrating. People would end up just shooting each other, running way ahead of the group and getting killed and quitting early. Does anyone feel like running through a couple of levels later this week?
