Just started playing this and it is a blast. I played online with some friends last night but I couldn't find my headset, so I died a lot. Gotta find it to be able to call out for help. On the single player, I've made it through the first map, and just about through the second one. It's too bad that there is no save function. It irks me to have to pick up towards the end of a scenario.

You can pick what chapter you want to play next time, and it will try to match you up with a group that is already there. If it can't find one, it'll set up a new lobby for you.

This is one game that benefits from not being able to save at anypoint. If you could it would kill the whole purpose of survival. Just my 2 cents.

This is now officially my favorite game of all-time.

I was playing the boss level last night on Expert in No Mercy...tons of fun. We were glitching like crazy by standing on the side of the building while hordes of Zombies were trying to get us 2 hours and we still couldn't be it (We would get attcked by Hunters and the Tank eventually would climb up).

No. If you climb to the tallest point (where the two air ducts are) and fall straight down you get stuck on a small ledge. There is a video on YouTube.

Wow, free? I may actually get it. I don't buy DL content so this is good news.

Free makes sense, given that it's mostly stuff that they just get done in time for release.

Historically, Valve hasn't charged anything for extra content on Steam for their other games, but I'm surprised MS let them release it for free on Live. I thought they hated releasing anything for free on Live?

Valve probably just called it a patch. That's how we got all that burnout paradise stuff for free.

They had a point, so why mock them? If Valve is releasing it for free on the PC, and we already pay for Live, why the fuck should we have had to pay for it?

Why not? In other forums I frequent the bitching was getting annoying. They got what they wanted so now they can shut the fuck up. Now they'll have brand new maps to Glitch and Exploit for free.

My point was people reacting to it like some great injustice without even knowing the specifics.

Although the people that took it as an opportunity to bag on the game "lacking content" can also go away IMO. The modes and offerings of the game weren't a mystery to me when I preordered it, so if they had a problem with what the game came with for the asking price, they shouldn't have bought it. But they did. Because it rules and they had to have it.

Right. And it's not like they didn't have a choice in formats for Left 4 Dead but it seems many chose chose the 360 version anyway knowing full well very few games get free stuff like this.

Next question...now what? Head for single player or jump in right away on coop? Considering this is very Team Play base I'm sure I need to get familar with it before dragging the "Team" down.

Again, Single player is basically your "practice ground" so just start with No Mercy on Normal. It will give you a good idea of what basics to expect.

I haven't even played single player. Just go straight into online co-op.
