I actually just used the warp pipe in No Mercy 1-1 that takes you right to No Mercy 1-5. Easiest way to complete the Expert levels.

I gave the game a go last night and yea it's fun alright. I can also see how Team play can be critical with backing you up and with the health bit. The AI Bots are pretty good at backing you up and giving you those darn pills. Couple of questions
How do you "shove" an infected let alone a Boomer?
Just curious if anyone knows why they choose "53,595" for Zombie Genocidest in the achievements? That's kinda of an odd number to reach?
By the way I hope some didn't mind me sending a friend request "DVD Talk L4D" to several here on this topic. I'll be on tomorrow night and wouldn't mind jumping in coop.

I buy content, but generally not maps. I prefer gaming on consoles to PCs, especially action games. Plus I don't have a P4 3GHz with 1GB ram.
Shove is left trigger, I believe. Very handy when they're swarming you, plus there's a "glitch" where you can hit reload and still shove while reloading, rather than having to watch the reload animation. The zombie game Dead Rising had an achievement "Zombie Genocider" where you had to kill 53594 zombies, IIRC. So obviously if you're genocidEST, that's one more.

Well I got my first taste of coop last night thanks to Marc Fusion ,inverse cosine and honorable mention Francis the Bot. Who by the way kicked serious boooootie all night.
Really a blast with coop and good laughs along the way. We knocked down several achievements including Akimbo Assassin (pistols only) using a few pipe bombs and cocktails. Did learn one phrase...speed run. I think we went thru one campaign in 30 mininutes. I may end up giving the random coop a shot but just like in GOW it's so much better with fellow DVD Talkers.

This was something that I mentioned last evening as we were playing through; when you get a group of 3 or 4 people together that actually communicate, the game becomes unbelievably fantastic. Trying to work together while the AID throws all sorts of shit at you is just really a blast (as is having an AI teammate who at one point seems to refuse to get into the safe room, thanks Francis!).

Whenever I get into the Safe Room and there's stragglers I highlight the Safe Room Door and hit my LB over and over again. You get stuff like, "Into the Safe Room!" and other similar comments.

And Francis engaged the Tank in a chase to the other side of the map at the final event on Death Toll. He still had the most kills, headshots, heals, revives, and all other stats though!

I had a fun game last night with some Randoms. The AI Director was KICKING OUR ASSES on No Mercy on... "Normal" no less; but we were all having fun and communicating so it was still a blast. I think we had to restart the last level like 4 times and every time we did we were laughing our asses off.

I usually have fun playing with any random teams, but last night I got stuck in a team with this asshole who kept making his character say PILLS HERE! PILLS HERE! PILLS HERE! nonstop. The.Whole.Fucking.Mission.
It was unbelievably annoying.

Sorry about the other night Giantrobo not getting on till later on. I will be on tonight around 7:30 central for a fact so if any DVD Talker is up for coop fine. If not I may go the random route just to see what happens. Haven't tried that yet.

Well finally got around last night hooking up with inverse cosine and two randoms. It turned out alright. I can honestly say it's more team play than say most of the random Horde matches in GOW2. More communication, hints and help. And the biggest surprise...no drop-outs...which I can't stand especially in the middle of playing.
Ended up with a good group and we played four straight levels. Been lucky to keep the same bunch in four levels of Horde let alone four matches. Up to late last night so I'll shoot for tomorrow night again but probably closer to 8 central.

The patch is out for the 360, same patch PC users got awhile back.

* Fixed Survivors being able to climb surfaces marked for versus infected only
* Fixed a class of SurvivorBot bugs dealing with rescuing downed players
* Players can no longer grab ladders while flying through the air after a Tank punch
* Shooting near a car with an alarm that has already fired the alarm will no longer make chirping noises
* Fixed mini-gun physics exploit
* Fixed propane tanks (and other physics objects) causing players to fall through elevators
* Fixed rare achievement bug issues
* Fixed several map exploits
Versus Changes
* Added HUD elements to show status of other infected players
* Fixed instance where a Survivor changing to the infected team would be attacked by infected bots
* Normalized special infected melee damage

I knew of those issues. I have to say thank god for the Smoker fixes. I always thought that damn thing was way underpowered unless you can drag them off of a roof. I'll have to get on tonight and play around to check out the differences.
Personally I don't like being the tank since I suck at it.
I like that they increased the power of the hunter pounce. I love getting off a big roof hit, but it's kind of a downer when it only does 10 damage. They probably should increase the downed damage though. It's usually better to just swipe at them then pin them especially if other survivors are around.

I like that they changed up some of the stuff in this patch. Some of my friends will be really happy about the Smoker and I'm glad they changed the Hunter pounce damage. I'll download it now and check it out tomorrow afternoon.
