I use it horizontal due to the size. It is too tall to stand in my rack. I haven't heard of any issues using it vertical.

Back to the DVD resume, the Triangle button is important to experiment with in the media bar. It gives you many extra options that aren't always obvious.

BTW, for those that don't have the PS1 game, Castlevania: SotN is $9.99 in the store today. Works on PS3 or PSP.

Oh, so the triangle button lets you resume even if the disc was taken out of the machine? Cool, I'll try it when I get home. I currently have it set to play automatically whenever a disc is in, so I guess I'll have to disable that first.

It figures that I was accepted into the Home beta less than a week after trading in my PS3. *sigh*

I don't think it would matter too much. I have some of both and they are both just fine(no noticable difference in sound - atleast to me). I wold say if you want to save a little extra $ go with the 5.0mm. I have 3-4 cables like these: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...ormat=2&style= mine were bought around a year ago and have the gold ended bodies instead of the metallic and they are holding up just fine and that is with me unhooking stuff a few times as I added my PS3 and such. the 8.0mm cables are really nice as well. I would say just figure what you want to spend and go from there. they will be nice cables no matter which ones you decide on.

I just turned on my PS3 and noticed Calling All Cars is priced at 7.99. I was going to get it one of these days for the 9.99 price but just jumped on it now in case the price only stays like this for a day or 2.

FYI, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is up on PSN. The PS3 being my first PlayStation, it's about time I got a chance to play this!

I thought it seemed cheaper....is this game worth it for $8? Is it mainly on online game? Any single player aspect of it?


Also, Enchanted Arms for PS3 is $20 everywhere now. $15 used at many stores. Trades in for $36 at GameRush for now also....nice chance to make some credit.

My parents also got a PS3 last night. Mostly just as a DVD/Blu-ray player though. They got 6 free movies with it (1 in store and 5 through the mail-in offer). Pretty sweet!

We would like we do the XBLA games - but Sony isn't as keen on us as MSFT.

Sony REALLY should offer demos for PSN games. I know some have "Starter" Packs, but I want demos for all. I probably would buy a few, but I resist. I still don't see Sony's logic behind this.

Yeah, it definately works well for MS. I have bought many XBLA games that I otherwise would not have after liking the demo. I play every XBLA game demo and many have surprised me enough to warrant a purchase.

I agree, I am interested in Calling All Cars and Super Stardust HD but dont want to pay without trying them out first. Sony needs to start offering more demos, im tired of weekly PSN updates consisting only of trailers.

You all know that if you know someone that has bought the game, you can sign in to their account and download the game onto your machine for free right? You can then agree to split the cost or whatever.

Super Stardust is a really fun game(I think of it as a sort of Futuristic Asteroids type game). I only played CAC for about 1min. last night since by the time it was downloaded it was kinda late so I can't really judge that one yet.

Is CAC still 7.99? i gotta buy it tonight...
