In the Sony E3 thread someone said there was news about Unreal Tournament 3 being a PS3 exclusive for this year? Did anyone see that? Is that the case?

just got off the phone with MS and my coffin is on the way for my launch unit. they said something about if they can't get the 3 red lights to happen when they plug it in I'll have to pay for repairs. should we take bets now that the damn thing won't do it for them because it has been flashing these damn lights for me since the May update?

some good aracade games coming and BioShock, Halo 3, Mass Effect look amazing. I think Microsoft had the best showing this year.

whats the combat system like?
From the demo I came away with the impression that it's no more than a
generic J style console rpg (complete with limit breaks)

The combat is turn based with the ability to charge your attack via holding
down the A button while inputting the command (think raising a power meter.
a timeline bar comes up showing when all the participants turns will occur
and you can release the button when you want the attack to launch).

For those that care, the voice acting and music are embarrassingly bad

I wonder if there's something wrong with it. It hung at 84% last night for me
before giving me the can't download prompt. It then told me the same for
everything else in my cue and the central icon on the 360's power button
began quickly flashing non-stop. After power cycling the flashing stopped
and it allowed me to finish downloading. I didn't notice anything wrong while
playing the demo though.

I just sent mine out today....I'm sure you will be ok though. With the overflow of Red Lights lately, they probably just swap out and fix....and endless loop I would assume.

Mine starting just giving me video problems, then the red lights, then they went away, then they came back, WENT AWAY, CAME BACK...and I think that was for good. Just annoyed. At least I have someone caling me EVERY TWO DAYS to let me know that my box was in the mail. I guess this is what happens when you have to send it back for the THIRD TIME. Isn't there some kind of LEMON LAW?

Man, a lot of XBLA stuff came out while I had my 360 off. Carcassone is incredibly addictive. I tried to play online but found no players. Is it not as popular as Catan?

Initially it was popular - but lately it's been tougher to find games

I'm always down for a game. I think I like it better than Catan.

It's a heck of lot easier to play than Catan online, considering that I can't get anyone to trade on Catan online.

Did you have to prove it?

Yes, the voice acting was horrible. I'm glad the final version will have the Japanese language track. Other than that, I thought the demo was ok, and I'll probably end up getting it once it's out.

In my opinion, the graphics were actually impressive, especially in the attack animations (I noticed there was a bit of a slowdown in one of the fights where there were a lot of enemies. Other people are reporting that as well, so I'm hoping they fix that in the final version).

I checked during the MS conference, and noticed Alice in Wonderland on there, as well as some of the newer ones like Atlantis, Emperor's New Groove and Hercules among others. There might be more stuff on there now though.

It is a really good German board game. Here is the geek entry on the game (it is a pretty highly rated game on the geek).

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/822

They are also supposedly working on the expansions for the game which makes me very happy.
