Says it's compatible with Wii Play and Resident Evil 4.

I played through all of the "Wii Play" games just to be able to get to the Tank one - which I had heard was the best... but I was very tired and wasn't too into it. I didn't like that I had to go through each game to get to the one I wanted to play.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but I do feel they spent the most time on that one

Truthfully, I haven't bothered with all of the games on WiiPlay. I have tried fishing, the one where you rotate to put your Mii in the right pose, pool, bullriding, and half of the shooting range one because one of my daughters was impatient. My favorite hands down is 9-ball.

Here's a fairly positive and thorough (though rambling) review of RE4 for the Wii.

Started playing Zelda: TP yesterday... so far I'm liking it. I just got out of the village - looking for the kids who were chasing the monkey. I'm not sure yet how much I like the sword-play with the motion controls. Its pretty cool for a little bit, but I'm guessing that'll wear out after a while. I LOVE the aiming/shooting system though.
I haven't gotten used to the nunchuck yet either - and I tend to have a hard time moving when it needs to be precise... but that will probably be taken care of with the learning curve.

I'm listening to the IGN Wii-k in review podcast. They're saying that Zack & Wiki is a must buy. This used to be called Project Treasure Island Z. It's basically a point & click adventure mixed with wii motion controls.

I had a bunch of friends over last night and we played Mario Party 8 for the first time. Pretty fun. Don't think I've played any of them since 4 or 5. I'd say it is the best that I've played since the first game. The boards are still too busy. You can easily go 10 minutes in between mini-games because of all the shit on the map. That gets a
from me, but they have all suffered from that, except the first one. And the no widescreen gets a HUGE
. I mean what the fuck is up with that?
Also played Tiger Woods for the first time. It was pretty good. Graphically it looked like utter shit, probably the worst looking game I have seen on the system, but it was fun and the controls worked great.

Currently, I own Wii Sports, Mario Party 8, & Super Paper Mario.
Wii Sports is fun, Mario Party 8 I haven't got into totally yet. Too much talking before you can play the friggin' game. Super Paper Mario is superb. Having a great time with that one.
We just got our Wii a few weeks ago. Looking forward to picking up Zelda, RE4, Scarface, and The Bigs here shortly.
Also, MOH or COD?

In my opinion, I'd wait for a better shooter.

I don't think its a matter of being a graphics whore per se, but just being used to playing the same game with better graphics on other systems.
Sports sims are probably something I'll never buy for the Wii, as it's one genre where realistic graphics actually improve the experience a lot. So I'll probably avoid any of these and wait until I eventually get a 360 to pick any up.

As for Tiger Woods, the last golf game I owned was Tiger '03 on the Xbox which looked better than the Wii game. So essentially a 4 year old game on a previous gen system looked superior to a release from just a few months back.
The Wii is more powerful than the original Xbox, the most powerful system last gen, so there is no excuse for games looking worse than last gen.

Mildly excited for Metroid, but less so as I didn't like Metroid Prime 2 much. Similarly, Smash Bros will be good, but it gets old pretty fast in single player (and doesn't sound like it will have online support).

As for the power thing, I read somewhere the other day that had an interview with a developer and they had noted that while the Wii specs were a bit ahead of the X-box, that other limitations would likely keep games from looking as good as the best X-box games---at least until they figured out some work arounds. Things like not being able to do certain kinds of shaders etc.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but i'm not very familiar with the Wii.
Is Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball (SNES) going to be available for it? I thought all games for NES and SNES were supposed to be available via download, but I looked at their site and there is only a limited selection there.
If not, I guess I will go out and buy a used SNES, because I am jonesing to play that damn game.

There is no way to know for certain when any games will be coming, but because they have to be re-rated by the ESRB, you can sometimes get a heads up as to what's coming by checking the ESRB's website.
Also, because these games that have licenses (Like Ken Griffey) usually only applied to the original platform (eg SNES), then Nintendo has to re-license the names, likenesses, etc. -- So some games may not come out or may be altered. Mike Tyson's Punch Out is available as just Punch Out. Tecmo Bowl came out without the players' names.
