Anyone find any skulls yet? What are the meta games and what are the terminals that you can find?

Picked mine up at midnight Tuesday, got my avatar configured, and played my stepson in a little 1-on-1 layer to get a feel for it. It's going to take some getting used to with the X-button and RB switch for picking up weapons/reloading, and using X for the new features (bombs, bubble shields).

But I may try to play mutliplayer a bit before I get slaughtered at my brother's friend's Halo 3 party Saturday night. Gamertag: 007eleven

I don't see an official "Let's Play H3" thread. Are DVD Talkers getting together for coop and vs yet?

There were four or five of us together for awhile last night playing multi-player and I'm sure a bunch of us will be on again tonight.

I'm going to switch those back. On many occasions last night I threw a bubble shield or a Power Drain when I didn't flippin want to.

I've found 4 skulls, 1 on my own and the other 3 with help in co-op. Only 3 of them gave achievements.

I haven't found any terminals yet and I'm not sure where they are or what they look like.

The meta games are used during co-op mode. You have to turn on the scoring. If you score enough points during each chapter of the game, you get an achievement.

I'm still waiting for my copy from CC to arrive which for some reason is moving farther away from me instead of getting closer...

Yep, there was a huge party last night of at least 10 people. Just send me a friend request if you want, and I'll invite you the next time we're playing.

Anyone up for some legendary campaign mode Thursday night? Should be on around 11PM...I'm on the second level. Played the other night with (I believe) Steelgear and someone else from here.

I couldn't connect to Live last night at all, kept getting some error message. Anyone else get this? I thought it may have just been overwhelmed with users...

Those ranom people popping in were likely friends with people in your party. If you don't have friends playing custom matches, you have no way of getting into them. At least not that I can tell.

I'm pretty sure if someone is in the lobby and their party isn't full you can join them (even in non-custom games). I had several people on my friends list join me last night without even sending an invite.

Anyone else notice voice coming out of the speakers as well as the headset in Halo 3?

I thought I was hearing the voices of the opposing team come through the speakers when I was nearby.

Yeah, that's what I meant. There's a little white arrow that shows to the left of 'Halo 3' on your friend list that lets you know if you can join or not. But still, if all your friends are playing matchmaking or campaign, you have no way of getting into random custom games. I wish there was a "Custom Match" playlist that people could go into, and get randomly tossed into Custom games.

I didn't even realize that friends lists have a maximum amount. I just deleted a bunch off of mine anyway, so feel free to send me a request.

In the lobby, hit start, and scroll to settings...you can fix that.
