So.... do the experts here have any advice on how to beat Jordan on Expert? The solos just feel like random notes to me and I can't even 100% on the slowest setting in practice.

Tips:
1) Use Hyperspeed. I still haven't beaten it once without it (not counting a co-op run). It helps amazingly well to add a little separation to the notes just so you can see what you're supposed to be playing.
2) Practice the intro to the really hard part. With only one exception I've failed when I haven't done well on the fast triplet descending thing (the one containing the last star power before it goes nuts).
3) Strum fast. Now, notice how fast you are strumming and strum faster. Realizing that I wasn't strumming fast enough was what pushed me from passing it only once to being able to pass with some consistency.
4) Warm up with an easy song or two just to get your fingers moving. Do it on hyperspeed so you're used to how fast the notes scroll. Then try Jordan. For me, if I don't pass it in my first two attempts, I'm going to have to let my hand "cool off" and loosen up.
5) As you play it more and more (particularly on hyperspeed), you'll notice a little bit more of the patterns and you'll be able to do a little better.
6) Obviously, go in with full SP and try not to use it until you are flashing Red. Every split second you can delay is another couple notes you can miss after SP ends.
Where are you failing? Most people can fail at 58% regularly, but won't be super close to passing. 59% is getting very close. If you're failling here you'll be able to pass with a lucky run. I've failed once at 60% and it's like a kick in the stomach because you're only a note or two away from the "blue note of freedom".

It's a code you can enter at the main screen which causes the notes to scroll towards you around 50% faster. Because the notes come faster there is more space between the notes (because the timing of the notes can't change) which makes it easier for some people to play more difficult sections of songs. The code on the PS2 is OBOYOBOY, but it's probably different on the 360.

Thanks Mordred - the furthest I've ever made it is 60%, but on average I die at around 55%.
I'll try the code for hyperspeed to see if that helps.
More practice will probably be the best advice, since I've spent only about 2 days with it before I got frustrated.

i cannot for the life of me beat Rock this Town on expert. I have been stuck on this and that shitty Heart song for over a week and just beat Heart last night but dont think I can beat Rock this Town. Its the last song I have to beat in the set. Anyone who beat it have any tips?

So I read about the HD lag calibration yesterday and gave it a try last night. I tried several times and it went between somewhere in the 30's up to 41. My sons tried playing and though something was wrong. When they tried the calibration, again several times, It set to between 1 and 4. I'm not sure who's messed up here, me or my sons! (I'm leaning towards me

I am on Easy for GH I and II (and went through career once all the way in I and am 5'ing songs now), and for what it's worth, Woman is my 2nd 100% song (Rock and Roll being the 1st after lots of practice) the first time I went through it. I'm on easy but for me apparently that song was the easiest of everything I've done so far.

Not that that will keep me from buying it, but sheesh... it better not be $49.

Wow, there are a few gems in that and it sounds like a whole lot of trite.
I'll, unfortunately, pass.

And I keep learning about this game... I bought last week Thursday, and it wasn't until yesterday that I learned about how to activate star power (I thought it was using the strum bar on long notes) and today I learn that you don't have to release lower frets to play higher frets. I love this game
