I just recently got GHII and have been buying the DLC so there has to be others out there still playing the game and newbies like myself everyday. With all the recent sales for GHII, I wouldn't be surprised if just as many people still play GHII as GHIII.
There is still mucho money to be made and DLC can make a popular game last forever.
