But I was at home and realized it myself. Bah instruction manuals, I like to figure out how to do things myself
I don't play guitar so I don't think you are -supposed- to know to hit the strum bar.

woo hoo - I got my first gold star on the expert level - Possum Kingdom. I use that song to warm up for the hardest songs that I haven't 5 starred on expert yet (all of the last 2 tiers of songs + freya) and fluked out at the end when I usually miss a few notes.
It felt like I was throwing a no-hitter in the bottom of the ninth.

It's hard to get excited about a new game if it is going to be for PS2 only. Not having those 360 achievements just takes a lot of the fun out of it.

The 80s edition will only be on the PS2.

Man, with all the bad press they're getting for the 360 DLC debacle, they'd have to be fucking retarded to make people buy all new guitars for GH3. The cry for their blood would be great.

There was such a decable over the last batch of DLC that we might not see any more for the 360 version. As lame as that is, it'd kind of painted them into a corner. Maybe they'll be able to release the 80's one as a single pack for $40-50 (the same price as the PS2 version) and get away with it.
As for the rest of the GH1 songs, I doubt we'll ever see them. I'd love to play them with the GH2 engine, and had no problem buying them in packs of three at their current prices, but enough people bitched that don't have many options. If they lower the price on new packs, it's going to piss off the 50,000 people who bought them at $6.25 a piece. And if they keep them at the current prices, the people that didn't buy them in the first place are going to bitch more.

I would think it would still be profitable to release the packs, because enough people are diehard fans, that they'll buy them. I've sunk so much money into this franchise already. This is what I've bought so far:
GH1 bundle
Extra SG for my wife
GH2 bundle (got it early from CC)
Extra SG for my wife (she broke her whammy)
GH2 360 bundle x 2 (wanted an extra guitar and couldn't find any solo yet)
All 3 song packs (so far)
They've gotten quite a bit of money from me, and I'll throw more at them in a heartbeat for more song packs, Rock the 80's (for PS2 if there's not 360 version). If they come out with the songs on 360 later, I'll probably pick those up too. This is, by far, one of my favorite franchises, and I will support it until the gameplay starts to suck. I will also support Rock Band if it's good, regardless of cost.

Has there been any confirmation that there will be no more DLC for GH2 360? I mean, what do they have to lose? It isn't like they have to put a whole lot of money into converting the songs over to 360, right? So if they sell some - which you know they will sell some - then it should all be good.
I get so much gameplay from this title alone that the cost of the extra songs has more than paid itself off. Now, if they would release the songs in single downloads, I bet they'd do just fine.
