Same here... hence the realistic name, but not my own.

I used to post under my real name too, until the mods changed it for me. So if you ever see any references to Sir Groucho McSexMachine you know what that's all about.

If Carnival games is budget-priced I'd most likely pick it up. I like these quick mini-games. So does my wife. I just don't want everything to be a mini-game.
Wii Sports...okay. Wii Play...okay, because the Wiimote packaged. ANOTHER game?
I just don't think these type of games are going to carry the Wii very far.

More or less. Been a few times I started to post something and thought better of it due to lack of anonymity. i.e. complaints about work etc. etc.

Look at the DS, lots of pointless touch screen games/tech demos the first six moths to a year, hardly any since.

Regarding the DS, tons of pointless touch screen/mini-games are still being sold and are among the best selling games on the DS. Look at Brain Age and it's sequel, Cooking Mama, Elite Beat Agents and Nintendogs. All have sold a buttload.
The Wii is soon to have a Wii Health and Wii Music and I'd wager there's a Nintendogs coming too. It's just Nintendo catering to a new market. A co-worker just got back from a cruise to the Bahama's and the ship had a Wii lounge. She said it was packed, 24/7.

Not random pointless shit like Yoshi's Touch and Go, Feel the Magic etc. that was little more than a tech demo.
I didn't mean to imply that mini games etc. will die off, just that they'll hopefully get some substance to them and actually be enjoyable.

So positive news about friend codes? IGN says this about Big Brain Academy:
"the title also automatically imports all the friend codes stored on your Wii console, which is an extremely positive sign step toward the eradication of individual software-based friend codes. What this means is that you won't need to re-enter any friend codes if you've already added your friend's Wii system number to your console. "
This isn't live online multi-player though, so maybe Nintendo allowed this for a game thats really just using the Wii-Connect feature.

Of course, this assumes internal memory is not an issue.
