i got it because I knew a friend wanted to play it. I played it for an hour or so and really didn't think it was anything special or new. If you're REALLY into the genre, I'd say go for it.

lol, Microsoft support is insane (well, just very poor speakers of English)...when I called in when my 360 was first having issues, I slowly spelled my name and address. I made the mistake of not having them read it back to me. They honestly got about 1/2 of the letters in my simple name and address wrong, so UPS hasn't been able to deliver my repaired unit for the last 3 days.
Apparently Indians don't understand American English as well as Mexicans?

One thing FEAR is known best for is its AI. Enemies will flank you, use cover, etc.
If you haven't played Condemned yet, I recommend it over FEAR. Condemned is much scarier, has more variety in levels and enemies, and is just all around better.

Condemned is much scarey and more intense and the surround sound is amazing in the game. Some of the best sound in a videogame.
Fear is alittle funner, but Condemened is a title that you must experience.

Grab wrench, pipe, conduit, 2x4, walk, hit enemy, stun with stun gun, rinse / repeat 450 times.. I stopped after like the 4th level.
I know I'm in the minority on this, however.

I thought Condemned was a great launch game to show off the system. If it were to come out now I probably wouldn't bother with it at least until it was $20 or less. Still good as a budget title though.

Condemned is still my #1 game on the 360.

It's going to be a long summer followed by one of the most ridiculous falls in a while (GTA IV, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, possibly some of the big 3 Wii games on that system (Metroid/Mario/SSB)). I'm hoping some of these games finally hit $20 that have been out a while and are hovering around or above $30 now. In the meantime, Carcassonne comes out on XBLA in June, which will surely eat up a lot of my time.

Condemned is still a great game and lack of MP is what made people not get it I think. I loved it. I didn't 100% it because I'm too scared to go through it again. (Honestly).

Anyone watch that leaked Halo 3 footage of Zanzibar? The beta is quickly becoming one big joke if that is one of the 3 maps. If so, we are down to two new maps(possibly) for three weeks. What a big letdown.

I watched a little of the video and it didn't look like any map I'd ever played on, thought I'll admit I haven't played Halo 2 in about a year or so.
I know there was a Zanzibar map but it seemed new to me.

If you didn't recognize that map as Zanzibar, you need to dust of your Halo 2 disc. The inside of the base is very different, but the outside areas are damn near identical.
