Surely if you send requests to all those names one of us will be around to bring you into a game later.

I'm hoping to make it on some tonight after the sick daughter goes to bed. I'll be particularly looking for Crackdown or CoD2.
Had to stay home with my daughter today and the little one wouldn't let me get up from the bed she was napping in. I have played more DS today alone than i think i have in the month i borrowed the thing. Luckily for me my wife brought me home a cool DS Lite of my very own this evening so i can return the borrowed one.
So long story short, even though i wasn't good enough to make Martini's list of regulars - i may be on this evening as well.

It so hasn't been that long.
Unfortunately it is going to be that long soon. Daughter is sick tonight which keeps me offline and the next two friday nights i have to prepare for the last two standardized tests for my grad degree. *sigh* A total drag but at least the degree will be done and i can avoid the agony of these ridiculous classes.

I'm really hoping that I can kick my Crackdown habit and join in some other games. The rest of this weekend is blown and next weekend is a little packed since I am going to hear Kevin Smith speak about 6 hours away.

Thier listing this as a "prequel" to the "award winning" game from Bioware... Im assuming they mean System Shock.

System Shock is not at all related to Mass Effect. System Shock is a very old PC game created by a little company called Looking Glass Studios that has since then gone out of business. Bioware is a Canadian video game developer that has nothing in common with Looking Glass.
When you think of System Shock as a "prequel", maybe you thinking of the upcoming Bioshock? A lot of the same people that made System Shock are working on Bioshock, and Bioshock has been called a "spiritual successor" to System Shock by them.

I thought Deus Ex was the sequel to System Shock. Or were the 2 just made by the same guys but different stories?

After Looking Glass went bankrupt, some of the employees went to work at Ion Storm which is the company that created Deus Ex. That and the fact that Deus Ex and System Shock were both futuristic sci-fi FPS/RPG hybrids are the only thing they have in common. Deus Ex was never intended to be a sequel or successor or anything to System Shock.

System Shock 2 is actually the sequel to System Shock. Bioshock is being made, as was mentioned above, by many of the same people who worked on System Shock 2. Mass Effect is being made by the guys who created the first Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The "Best of E3" award was given to a couple of cool looking videos, but no actual gameplay, so it seems a little disingenuous of them to call it award winning. I actually think the game will be great, but come on.

Alien Hominid is next week's XBLA game, according to 1up. If it's 800 points or less, I'll probably pick it up.

Definitely getting Alien Hominid, and yes hopefully it is 800 points, but I would not be shocked by 1200. Reading that article gives me hope that perhaps SOTN and Double Dragon might come out in March as they appear to promise a much better March release schedule.

I wonder who picked up the MDK2 license after the demise of Interplay? I would love another entry into that series.
And yes, Bioware RPGs are great. They have yet to even come close to disappointing me. Mass Effect will be an immediate, no questions asked purchase for me.
