I should be picking Crackdown up after work today.

Supposedly it only takes about 6 hours to beat... the first time. That's where the addiction kicks in. Repeat playthroughs to boost your character and get achievements.

I'm picking up Crackdown tonight at Best Buy and probably play all night. If anyone wants to hook up for some co-op action, let me know.

I just picked up the game for 38 bucks

(changed my halo 3 preorder to regular = 20 bucks, + had it preordered for 5)

can't wait to try it out tonight. I was pleasantly surprised that you can play 2 player co-op on one 360

I ended up playing Crackdown for about 14 hours....almost nonstop. Other than potty breaks and a breakfast run I did nothing but play the game. Haven't had a marathon gaming session like that is a long time.

Somebody paid $247 for a bunch of demos?

Heh no doubt. I ended up giving away all the original Xbox demo discs but still kept the 360 discs. Heck i'd be happy to get any money out of them at all. Granted with the gamer pics and themes and the like on the discs they would be worth some money.... just not 250$

Wow, demb EBAY people. I may have to use that format to sell my 360 demo discs I haven't even played the last couple I've received. No real point anymore.

Yeah, since my partner could jump higher I kept trying to jump off his head to reach higher spots. He eventually leveled up and could lift a car. Unfortunately I still couldn't hop on top of it. That was disappointing.

Strength was the first 4* I got. My agility is at 3* and very close to leveling up. My driving and explosives are both 1*, and I think firearms is 2*

I've taken out the first gang and I'm ready to take on the boss of the Volk gang. After that, I think I'm going to just play around a bit before tackling the next gang. Use the time to get all my skills to 4* and work on other aspects of the game. As well as finding the rest of the green and hidden orbs. I think I have 310 green orbs out of 500 and 50-60 hidden orbs.

Well the second worst kept secret in recent video game times was revealed today. In true Assassin's Creed fashion, Mercenaries 2 is headed to the 360.

Once you get 4 stars in a stat can it level up anymore? I have so gotten in the habit of beating people down that i got 4 stars in strength quickly but never improved firearms due to forgetting to use a gun.

You don;'t get any more stars, but you can level it up to 90 or 99 at 4*. That would be the max you can go up. I got my 4th star last night and when I get orbs, I still see the number go up. I'm currently at 4* 55 points.

I mentioned in the PS3 thread a few weeks ago that the 'gameinformer' magazine notes that Mercenaries 2 is ONLY coming to the 360. (or no release date known for the PS3)

IT is still coming to PS3....I think they said they wanted to include all the features in both PS3/360....I could be wrong, but that is what CheapAssGamer said via the IGN interview.

I picked up Crackdown last night, but I picked up Viva Pinata at the same time, and decided to play that first. I still haven't opened the shrinkwrap on Crackdown -- Viva Pinata was too addicting. I'll probably try Crackdown tonight.

Mercs 2 on the 360

I would say the IGN article is more official than the Gameinformer one since the IGN is an interview with a developer.

It seems strange they are also doing a PC port since the first Mercs and neither DAH games went to PC.
