yea, I still have my original SNES cart as well, with map, but no special hint book or box...

i HATED how, in the GBA version, they made Link yell like a little bitch each time he swung his sword. It reminded me of a women's tennis match, without the boobs

Is anyone else unable to access the Wii Store? I tested the connection and it worked (plus the internet channel works) But the Store gives me an error.

Ok, maybe I just need to wait longer. I dont think its on my end because I can access the internet on it and the connection tests come out ok.

I got through earlier today and got my LTTP. I'm up to 20 VC titles (8 points cards, 1080 memory left and 2 1/4 pages of Wii Channels). Ahhh...the Wii. Making my 360 gather dust.

Damn, jediwicz, I don't think I've seen 8 Wii Points cards ever! I bought 2 for myself and 1 for each of my two brothers and that was within 2 days of launch.

I wish I could find some locally, preferably at Best Buy.

I already own LTTP on SNES, but I think I'm gonna have to get this anyway. Only my Wii is hooked up, and it's pretty sweet to have my entire console Zelda collection on one system.

VC: Legend of Zelda, Link to the Past
GCN: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker
Wii: Twilight Princess.

They just need to post Adventure of Link on VC and I'll be set. My DS can handle Minish Cap. Freakin' A I love the Wii...

hmmmm, well I thought a link to the past was on that sweet gamecube disc I have but alas it is not (the one with mask and ocarina)! Guess that will be a purchase for me.

LttP is probably my favorite game ever. I think I have beaten it around a dozen times or so. I don't think I'll be getting it on the Wii though. I already have the original cart and the GBA version so probably a no go for me. I still have my original save from so many years ago too. Man I died SO many times getting through that game.

Doesn't the GCN disc that has Ocarina and Majora's Mask also have the 2 NES games (and thus you'd arleady have Adventure of Link)?

Is there a chance the original Goonies (not the NES sequel, but the original PlayChoice game) could come to the Virtual Console? How about other "non-releases" (in U.S. at least) like the original Earthbound and Sweet Home?

Unfortunately no. I believe the one I have is the one I got when I pre-ordered Wind Waker. I think the later version was only a pack-in with the GCN console itself...

The pre-order bonus was: Ocarina, Master Quest & Majora. Has a red cover with the logos for each game.

The GCN pack in bonus was also available from registering games on nintendo.com(a fellow dvdtalker hooked me up with a spare code ) It has: Zelda, Zelda II, Ocarina, Majora's Mask. This one has a gold-ish cover with the tri-force on it.

The preorder bonus doesn't come with Majora: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Leg...e_Master_Quest

So, maybe you're missing Majora unless you have this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Leg...or%27s_Edition
In which case you would also have Zelda II.

Yeah that's what I though. The Pre-order disk is just OoT and Master Quest.

The Zelda collection disc you could get from Nintendo power (and maybe from registering games) is OoT, Majora's Mask and the 2 NES games.

Since he said he had MM I assumed he had the latter disk.

That's right. My typo/fuzzy memory. I had both. Sold the first for $50+ to put towards the Wii. Still have the second, which was the one I got for registering games.

According to a press release obtained by Kotaku, we'll be seeing Mario Kart 64 on 1/29!

I'd shell out the $10 if they'd been smart enough to add in Online play to the VC games.

As is I"ll just stick with the DS version which is superior to the N64 one anyway IMO.

Ditto, plus I already have this on the N64. But I know some people are looking forward to this release and it is great to know more than 3 hours in advance for once

Crap, you guys are right. I was thinking I had Majora's Mask, but it's just Master's Quest. Eh well, hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on Zelda II and MM eventually...

I don't have the DS Kart, but there are tons of memories associated with Kart 64 and I can't wait to play it again.

It will be my third purchase after Castlevania IV and Bomberman.

ehh...I tried Mario Kart 64 again and it just isn't the same. It has a much slower pace to it and just isn't as good as MKDS.

MK: DS is the pinnacle of the series IMO. Great pace, great tracks (including remakes of tracks from every past game) good character and weapons etc.

Only downside is the snaking which ruined online play.
