so basically, on thanksgiving, I sign on amazon.com at 1 p.m (est) and just check on core consoles?

I'll try it, to have a backup 360, but I imagine there will be a lot of "server is busy" errors.

I can't wait til they sell all 1000 alloted in 2 minutes and then see the throng of internet posts whining about bait and switch and threatening to sue amazon for not selling it to them for $100.

well, comcast has to come today from 5-7 to attempt to fix the problem with my internet, so hopefully it will be up and running tonight/tomorrow

I was very excited about this deal until I saw posts about it on almost all the message boards I go to. There's definitely a lot of buzz about this deal and I think it may be tough to get in on it. At my house we'll have at least 2 people trying for it, I let some of the more tech-savvy relatives know that if they wanted a shot they may need to bring their laptops because we only have 3 computers that can be used at a time.

I was getting my hair cut tonight and talking about the deal with the girl (she had asked me if I'd gotten a Wii this weekend). I was telling her about it and someone from across the room chimed in, saying she knew about it too.

Well, that was stupid. The servers were so slow. I had 7 browser windows going, trying to load the page. By the time 1 of them finally loaded at 11:01:28, they were all sold out already.

I got to actually click on the deal, but never got it to respond so I could get the 360. Page just timed out.
