This was incredibly lame.

I'm on a T1 and my page has been loading for 9 minutes.... wait, there it is, "cannot find server".

Hey! I got there site to load! and gone.......

Ah well, was worth a shot. My pages couldn't reload until about right now.

Mine finally refreshed... Sold Out.

I would keep checking even if it says sold out, some people never get through the checkout and cancel out.

Well, Amazon got their wish by generating enormous traffic. I had three pages loading, but didn't finally get through till 11:07. It kind of makes you wonder if anybody got through besides T1 lines.

No luck here either. I still cant bring up amazon.com. I also think amazon gave a bad link out in their directions. I tried amazon.com/customer-vote as told in their faq but all that does is bring up the voting page.

I think Amazon wasted a great opportunity.

When the page loaded saying we had missed it, they should have counter-offered us a free game and controller, or some other incentive.

But I guess that would be considered bait and switch.......

Now the only thing to do is sit back and see around 1,000 new Xbox 360 Core systems to hit eBay. :lol:

I got and answered my question within 30 seconds according to my atomic clock. Then it took 9 minutes to get a "We Sorry."

I do agree with you. I figure if I got in, great; if not, no big deal. However, you would think that someone on this thread would have succeeded. Also, I imagine that there were people who may have wanted to shop on their site that couldn't get the main page to load. In a way, this lowers potential Amazon sales (at least during that time period). This was a loss leader promotion imho.

If was was able to get one, I was going to give it to my sister's family, my nieces and nephews (three boys, one girl), for Christmas.

Oh well, I guess they'll be getting socks and hard candy this year.

Well I guess some people did get the deal, a couple of folks over at digg in the messages claimed they got through.

What's dishonest about that? I would take back a brand new unused 360 to them, and they would resell it for $299 and I would make an extra $199. Seems fair game to me.

Not getting in on the $100 deal doesn't bother me at the least! Seriously, I can live with that! It's what follows that chews on my loins and doesn't let go:

I got through just seconds after 11 am (pacific), literally, and I got a confirm within one 1 minute & 18 seconds, but it said that it would cost me $304.48. WHAT THE...???

Within minutes of ordering, I contacted them and they told me that they couldn't cancel the order because it had already entered the shipping process. ALREADY ENTERED THE SHIPPING PROCESS???

They said it wouldn't ship until the 27th (That means they're gonna HOLD it for some '4' days, BTW), and they couldn't stop it. Sure they couldn't... :mad:

Amazon's policy is that you have 90 minutes to cancel.

They RUSHED these into that 'so called' SHIPPING MODE BULLCORN, knowing folks would try to win by ordering. This is something I believe they planned well ahead of time to screw people out of $300 bucks and suck the interest off the top.

Then we speak to a so called Supervisor named Christina B, who said she was canceling the order and would email us a confirm number.

She NEVER emailed us SQUAT.

We called back and they gave us the same bull and Christina NEVER noted our account. SHE LIED TO US. :mad:

So now, our bank account has ALREADY been debited, and we're gonna take a hit of $300+ for some 10 days. :mad:

Oh Christ, I didn't even get one. Like anyone even had a chance at this. Please note that within the first 5 mins, EVERY deal they had was sold out. By who? Who bought them all? I Guarentee you 90% of the people that bought them to sell them on eBay.

You people crying about not getting one for $100 are as bad as the people who waited online for 12 hours on Amazon waiting to get a Wii when they first came out. The Wii was live for about 2 mins before selling out. Then there was a big up roar about not getting one. Well, the park your butt outside and wait for it if you really wanted one. If you really want a 360, save up the pennies in your piggie bank, and spend the $300 on it. Don't get your hopes up on one of the biggest internet sites in the world. You really think there's less than 1000 people that have the internet that found out about this deal? Jesus christ, get some common sense people.
