It was around 10:15 Eastern time. I have a Wii tracker as one of my live bookmarks, and I saw 'Amazon has Wiis available' and I hurriedly went there, but they were already out. I saw on the tracker website where they had it listed at around that time.

So to get things straight, Target stores nationwide are also sitting on Wii stock for the 3rd? If that's true, does anybody know the minimum number of consoles they will have? Thanks.

That's what the rumors are. I think I'm going to hit up Target at open on Sunday, since they open earlier. I should be able to nab one. Then, if that doesn't work, my fiancee and I will split up between CC and BB for one. Luckily she's excited that I'm excited about it.

Not necessarily. My Target got a bunch in on Tuesday, and sold them immediately. So, either it's up to the store, or mine didn't get the memo.

When the hell does Target put their systems out? I hit the local one up every morning before work to no avail.

When the shipment comes in (unless they plan on holding them until Sunday). When I saw them Tuesday, I was across the street at Gamestop, with the UPS truck still outside, but they didn't get any. When I went over to target, bingo. Checking in the AM doesn't make sense, because UPS isnt going to deliver before 8. I don't know if there's a way to predict when UPS will deliver to your target, mine was around noon.

Wasn't sure if they were getting them on the trucks (which unload overnight) or via UPS is all. Thanks.

I figured i would use 2 of my Wii pre-orders to bring the cost down, figuring I wouldn't find one till after Christmas. The manager asks me there if I would like to buy one. I thought he was kidding, since we are friends and he knew I wanted one.

Turns out, he wasn't kidding and they literally just got 3 in. I wound up walking out with no present for my brother, but a Wii + Zelda for me

it was definitely synchronicity, considering i wasted 5/6 of my break playing on an ibanez as the guitar shop. I realized, if i wanted to get this gift-buying done on my break, I better get over there in a hurry. I figured I'd be walking out with a 40 dollar purchase, but instead walked out with a 320.00 one

I got a definite answer from Target on my call rounds this morning. She said Sunday.

Walmart is the 6th.

This is getting old. I don't feel like getting up ass-early to wait in line to hopefully get one. I'm considering the microcenter 360 deal. I can at least play Oblivion on my 50" plasma and have some fun and then down the road (when the Wii is available), I'll pick one up. Hmmmm.....maybe I'll just wait for the Wii. Either way, it wouldn't hurt if Nintendo planned ahead better for their launch regarding availability and cables. Or at least if stores had something other than Sunday morning shit.

i really think it's the retailers that are to blame and not nintendo, considering that they have replacement consoles that are shipped in about 3 days.

The Wii could change that though.... trixie is NOT a gamer no way, no how... Which is fine because I have the 360 all to myself. But since we got a Wii on launch day, we've been playing together nearly every day. She loves it!

I'm with you. I refused to play Windwaker, besides doing the slide puzzles for my brother...

Ultimately, even though it sounds lame, I bought zelda because of the intuitive fishing controls, and I hate fishing (weird isn't it)


I actually got my girl into playing games some time ago, starting with Untold Legends (PSP), then moving her to Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas. She has like 65 hours logged into her Phantasy Star Universe character.

I'll probably wind up buying her Trauma Center, since she liked it so much for her DS Lite
