I think people are just sending their Miis out as I haven't had any pop up in the parade yet, but I have a handful of other people's Miis on the character screen.
Be sure and read my post, 46 above, to set them to mingle properly.

Yeah, I've got Reefer in the parade as well. I've had a few Miis manually sent to me and overall about 12 in the parade (I've moved some to the Plaza).
I like this feature, it's cute and makes turning on the Wii exciting to see who has come by.
After adding 21 16-digit console codes, I'm a little sick of it. Luckily it is a one-time thing, unlike the DS. Hopefully when the WiFi games come out, it'll really pay off for having all this work done already.

I really don't get the complaints with the code system(in regards to the Wii) at all. It is identical to Live. You type in your friends gamertag(wii code) and send a friend request. He doesn't show up on your list until he adds you. Same thing. I also think typing on the Wii is a LOT better than the 360 for two reasons:
1. well, the control. It's so much faster flying to the letter you need than slowly hitting the d-pad left/right letter by letter.
2. It's a freakin QWERTY keyboard! I've bitched about this numerous times about the xbox and 360. Give me a god damn standard keyboard layout MS.

On the 360, doesn't it let you know when someone has added you, like tpc expected the Wii do to? I understand the security level they're bringing in, and it could be a lot worse (see DS).
It wasn't hard to do with the numberpad entry, especially with the pointer. But we're lucky right now that everyone is doing it. In a few weeks or months, I have a feeling it is going to be harder for people to make friend lists. Say someone gets one in March and comes in here and adds 35 people to his/her list. Even if they post that they added everyone to their list, I bet a majority don't reciprocate. That's not Nintendo's fault, but they could have made it easier to just have a popup when the Wii starts that "so-and-so has requested to be your friend" with an Accept/Decline option.
It's great now, and I'm glad I'm on this side of the curve, but I can see it being a hassle down the line just because of the real-world communication that is required to implement a single friend.

I added tenaciousdave to my list this morning, by the way.

I haven't been leaving my Wii in standby anyway, it gets awful warm when in standby. Not at all when on as the fan works, but with no fan the console is pretty warm and the game disc (if you take it out after being on overnight) is even warmer. Seems a bit worrisome to me, not to mention like a waste of electricity.

Hey! It looks like Charlie Brown made it to my parade, yellow shirt and all
Brent and Jesus from pinata showed up in my Plaza today. Its cool to check out your plaza and new people drop in. Maybe I'm just nerdy, but does anybody else love waking up/coming home and seeing their Wii drive illuminated, indicating a message is waiting for you?

I made Agassii last night. He's kinda boring looking bald, so I might tweak him tonight and give him the mullet he once had.

I'm curious, if I add Charlie B. to my plaza, am I able to send him to other people, even though I didn't create him? And what happens if 2 (or more) people send the same Mii to someone else. It would suck to have duplicate characters running around, especially if your plaza starts filling up.

Agassii making the rounds eh.
I tried giving him a mullet circa 1992, but it didn't look right. Charlie B made it into my parade at lunch. Nice work.

FYI to those of you with WiTendoFi accounts, they now support your Wii's system code. Might as well put it there too.
