I played for 4.5 hours today, which is a LONG session for me. I'm about to start the third dungeon and I'm at 21+ hours. I think I remember someone saying that this is the point when it really gets good. It was hard for me to stop playing today, so I guess that's a sign that I'm hooked.

The part that had me calling shenanigans was all the crap you have to go through to get the Master Sword.

Anyway that is done and I've taken a break for the day. First three dungeons were very impressive though.

Well, I'm finished with the game, so I can go out now. I'd say TP is the definition of a flawed masterpiece: tons of terrific stuff, but full of tiny flaws and design decisions that hold the experience back - some of which have been around since the original, and more that were added when the series went 3D.
Anyway, it's a helluva game; when TP was going good, it was as good as anything. I do hope Nintendo is serious about taking the series in a new direction, though.

Just beat the Wii version, and this is the first Zelda game I've actually beaten.
OMG... what a great game! What have I been missing?
I can now resume a semi-normal life... that thing has consumed it for the last couple weeks.

This is my first Zelda game. I'm like 15 minutes into it and I fucking hate this game. How am I supposed to know what I should do next? I have some lady whining about a cat, some guy whining about a bee's nest.

Bear with it a bit... it starts off a bit slow, but it will start rolling soon. Took me a while to figure out the start of it. Just walk around and talk to everyone... it'll dawn on you sooner or later.

I'm finished collecting the mirror shards. I've got to say, this Zelda is phenomenal. They all are, though. I'm going to be sad when this ends.

I can't believe that nobody has made any videos with a rap song using footage with Link and the fourth dungeon item. Or maybe there are videos and I don't know it.

What the heck, I'll update everyone on my progress as well. My total play time is listed at 30 hours and 39 minutes, and I just got through the 3rd dungeon. This is the most "complete" game in recent memory, in terms of places to go and things to do, and without a doubt the best game of last year, and could end up as the best game of all time in my eyes.
You never go more than a few hours without something new being tossed your way, and it's a lot of fun to just screw around doing whatever, not even worrying about the storyline. Up to this point, I've felt like the game was somewhat pushing you along, but at this point I feel like the game loosens it's grip on you, giving you even more freedom.
I've only used a guide (GameFAQs) once, and that was when you had to
. I just didn't want to put up with that, I wanted to get on with it already.
And not to start going too overboard with Wii-praise, I'll say this. I don't see why Nintendo will ever produce another Zelda game without using the Wii type of controls. It's a perfect feel, and I love it. These controls can only get better from here on out, so I say bring on more games like this for the Wii. I can't imagine playing TP without the Wii controls.
Also, my favorite cutscene so far, other than nostalgic stuff, would have to be right after the 3rd dungeon:
Now that was awesome.

I'm currently in the Temple of Time and I'm around the 30 hour mark. I'm definitely enjoying it, but honestly find the controls on the GameCube excellent. Guess I will have to play this again on the Wii at some point so I can find out how much better it is to use the wiimote.
Really like how they pull together the major dramatic moments in the game, but it also makes you wish for voice acting.

This might seem like a stupid question, but here it goes anyway. I was checking out http://thehylia.com and watched part of a video speed-run for TP, what I've already done before, and I noticed that it's the mirror image of what I'm currently playing. What is up with that exactly?

I don't understand why people care if he's a lefty or a righty. Seems like a completely insignificant detail to me.

So I still hate this game but I got to the part where you have to fish, my wife wants to play the fishing part so I let her fish, 6 hours later she finally stops playing. At least I don't feel guilty about not finishing this game because she loves it.

Dude, you haven't even scratched the surface of this game. Once you finally get to get out of Link's stupid town, the game gets way better.
