I thought I might be tempted to buy one again at a lower price, but I think that price is lower than $169.99. There are some good games on it, just not enough to draw me in again.

Or $170 in games.
I do think the PSP is cool though.

I've played it for a little and thought it was decent for sure.
I'd recommend checking out Tekken DR. Has to be the best made PSP game I've seen, in terms of gameplay, options, graphics, load times, etc

Yup, Ratchet & Clank is one of my all-time favorite series and I love the PSP version (for the most part; the racing levels sucked though). Haven't tried it online yet for some odd reason.
Gotta agree about Tekken DR. Even though I already had Tekken 5 for the PS2, this was a must-have title for me. It looks freakin' amazing.

I had to manually search for this stupid thread, since search didn't find 'PSP'.
I'm surprised no one has posted this yet. I don't have a PSP and have no plans to get one, but this sounds pretty cool. I wonder if there will be a cost to use this feature? Does the PSP have a built in camera that faces you as you look at the screen?

BT, Sony to offer video calls on PSPs Wed May 23, 12:10 PM ET
LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's BT Group (BT.L) and Sony Corp (NYSE:SNE - news). have signed a deal to add WiFi-based communications software capable of enabling messaging and voice and video calls on the Japanese firm's PlayStationPortable (PSP) gaming devices.
The UK telecoms group said on Wednesday its four-year deal with Sony (6758.T) will see all new PSPs shipped later this year come pre-loaded with its software, transforming them into communications devices when within the range of a WiFi hotspot.
BT and Sony will initially launch the service in the UK later this year, before extending it to over 100 countries across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Users of PSPs will be able to make video and voice calls with each other anywhere globally, and BT said additional features will be included later to enable calls and messages between PSPs and computers, fixed-line phones and mobiles.
Sony has so far shipped 24 million PSPs globally since PSP was launched in December 2004, 8 million of which into Europe.
Steve Andrews, head of mobility and convergence at BT, said the deal was meant to showcase the edge its new broadband-based telecoms network had over rivals and boost consumer interest and loyalty for its broadband products.
BT has for the past few years sought to transform itself from a hardware-based fixed-line telecoms provider into a software-based supplier of feature-rich telecoms and entertainment applications.
It has invested around 10 billion pounds ($19.76 billion) into its 21 Century Network telecoms infrastructure which can provide high-quality voice and video calls at cheaper costs over the Internet.
Andrews declined to reveal BT's investment in its initiative with Sony, only saying it was not in the hundreds of millions of pounds.

No camera yet (at least here in the US) and no plans for a US release, right?

I have a few questions:
1. Does anyone have the PSP Camera imported from Japan and is it usable if you don't read Japanese?
2. The PSP GPS Receiver, does anyone have this and do you need a homebrew software to be able to run it in the US?
3. Has anyone used the PSP blender program? I find mostly positive reviews when I google it, but a few reviews claim that it is a scam?
I would appreciate your imputs on any of these, thanks in advance

My wife and kids got me a PSP for Father's Day. Haven't had much chance to play it yet, but, I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. While I LOVE my DS, I'm in awe of the screen size and resolution of my PSP.

The one thing that I really like better about the DS though is the size and durability. I really like having a portable system that fits in my pocket, and that really isn't a feature of the PSP.

I also just got a PSP, and am very happy with it (no DS for me, at least not yet). Got a few UMD movies for $4.99 (new) at ebgames, and got LocoRoco ($9.99), Lumines ($9.99), Ridge racer ($3.97 new - Sears) and Hot Shots Golf (free with PSP) and a 2Gig Sandisk memory card for $30.
I'm really enjoying the games, and putting videos on it is cool now that you can do them at 480x272. I also think it has very good sound quality (with headphones) for mp3s. The UMD movies I won't use much (nor will anyone else, apparently).
I'm glad I waited for the price to drop (PSP itself, memory cards, UMDs, Games), and more stuff to be available for it, but I am very happy with it now.

The analog assembly broke on my PSP weekend before last. I ordered a new one and it arrived the day I got back from vacation. This weekend I replaced it. It was much less daunting than I figured, especially since it's the first time I've ever had to open a system of any sort.
