Yeah, you can get some great older games you may have missed out on for super cheap now - but hurry, as more and more PSP games are going out of print at an alarming rate.

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

Any quick reccomendations?

Also, just found a used Darth Vader PSP-2000 at Gamestop for $140. Good or bad idea to buy from them?

It is a lot easier to return a used system with problems to them than a Craigslist or Ebay seller.

Good point. I still think Costco will be my best option. I just wish they sold them in stores.

Best Buy has countless bins of discounted PSP titles priced from $5-$20 where you can find titles like Ultimate Ghouls&Ghosts, the Mega Man updates, the Burnout games, etc. etc....

I picked up quite a few bargins at Gamestops b2g1. If I had had an extra $10, I would have picked up Space Invaders. I think it is a great time to buy a PSP.

PSP-2000 has can be modded pretty easy if that's a concern. PSP-3000 has the screen interlacing issue. GOW:CoO is an awesome game BTW.

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

N+ for the PSP gets a wholehearted recommendation from me. Even if you've downloaded it to your 360 or PS3, the PSP version has totally different levels, and the gameplay has been tweaked to work well with the PSP - it can be found for around $10 and is easily worth far more than that.

I have to get some more PSP games. I love the damn thing; wish it was performing better in the marketplace.

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

So let's say I get the Ratchet & Clank bundle. Any "must have" accessories I should pick up right away? Screen protectors? Cases?

Thanks.

Logitech Playgear Pocket is the best hard case and highly recommended.

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

It's too bad the flood of PSP games in Asia hasn't reached us; still, there's plenty to play, and even more if you import. I just got the new DJ Max game, which is ass-kickingly hard, and the recent Gundam vs Gundam game is pretty damn fun as well. And there are some good games announced for 2009 as well. I haven't even played GoW yet, as I was waiting to finish the PS2 games first.

I like the soft case for the original PSP. Also, I use the video cables quite often on road trips (video out to a portable DVD player).

This case already saved my PSP. Something was knocked off a shelf above and landed squarely on the PSP. No damage was done, but if it had been sitting out alone it would have had the screen broken.

My son got a 3000 for Christmas and so far the interlacing hasn't bothered him. He picked up N+ and enjoys it. I would also recommend Space Invaders Extreme. I have the DS version, but may buy it again on PSP at $10.

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

Yeah, I gave my daughter the PSP 3000 with Final Fantasy Crisis Core, and the picture looked great from what I've seen. I don't have a PSP 2000 to compare though, but I should do a side-by-side with my original launch PSP. I keep my PSP at work to mess around with at the gym while riding the bike.

Just pulled the trigger on option #2. Figured this way I get the R&C game at a little bit of a discount, which I'm sure I'll enjoy. National Treasure 2 and Everyday Shooter probably won't see much use.

Also got the Playgear Pocket Slim case and a B2G1 Blu-ray deal. Happy Birthday to me.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I finally broke down and sold my PSP. So when a ton of great games come out, be sure to thank me.

Re: The Official PSP Thread - Part 3

I've also been thinking about getting a psp. But from what I've read on here, it sounds like the new models have some kind of defective problem. Has it been fixed through a recall or something? What was the problem with it?
