Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3
you can do it as much as you want until next week, when it will change to require a level 90 char. If you want the tabard or the mana bomb, you have to do it before MoP launches.
that said, I doubt I'll do it again. Pretty boring, and even if I did get a piece of loot, so what? who needs that stuff now with a new expansion coming next week?

Very underwhelming. I ran it on three of my toons and only saw one piece of gear drop among the nine players. The rest of us got fireworks each time. Lame. Plus, there's no lead in or anything. They just drop you into the middle of things. "Hey, we're attacking Theramore, go do this stuff". Very poorly implemented, IMO.

Anyone playing MoP?
I'm forsaking all my level 85 chars and starting a monk from scratch. It's pretty fun ... leveling mostly through dungeons. Kind of strange though, you only have 1 heal for a long time, so healing dungeons can be kind of dull.

I'm playing it. Leveling my mage. It's been pretty fun so far. The Jade Forest has been a pretty awesome zone.
I think I'm going to level a monk too. The only problem with leveling only through dungeons is missing out on leveling your professions as you go. If you're doing gathering professions, that is.
I prefer to quest while also being queued for a dungeon now and then.

I got my hunter to level 90 on Wednesday and maxed out my enchanting while leveling which was a nice surprise.
Now I need to gear up for next week's raiding. Then I will need to start leveling my back up raiding characters likely with my druid healer first.

I like the pet battles, too, but never played Pokemon.
The first night at midnight was a clusterfuck of people
Luckily ore and herbs spawned in crazy amounts.
It took all of 20 minutes for people to be come realm firsts in professions. The first 90 was Alliance after about 18 hours.
After that, every, and I mean every realm first outside of cooking, and including all classes, were Alliance.
Makes this Hordie feel lonely

But yeah, definitely the coolest expansion so far.

Ah. I queued for both of the level 85 dungeons. I don't remember how long it took for them to pop. I only get to play a couple of hours most nights, so I'm still level 86.
I'm already loving this expansion so much more than Cata. Pandaria has been pretty awesome so far.

Yeah, I like it better than Cata as well. My favorites as far as terms of wow (no pun intended) factor are:
1. Pandaria
2. Burning Crusade
3. Cataclysm
4. Wrath

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3
I am a bit surprised by that. Some things in this expansion are good. I do think they got most of the dungeon fights tuned well. They are fast and not too bad to do.
The Justice point vendor thing is a huge bit of fail. It will take weeks to unlock them all and I already need none of the Justice point ilvl 450 gear. Only one of the vendors were unlocked when you hit 90. So I only was able to buy one piece of gear.
Gating the vendors by using dailies as a rep grind was a mistake.
The mistake of all these required dailies for 4 different factions to unlock the valor gear really will make leveling alts a huge commitment for raiding.
Although I dislike the idea of the farming and pet battles it does seems like some of the people I know like them so I assume this will turn out as a good idea for some people.
I also just do not like the focus of Mists much. I will be happy when this expansion is done which is funny thing to say since it just started.
I would list the expansions in this order.
1. Wrath- More accessible raiding than BC so it nudges ahead.
2. BC
3. Cata
4. MoP

I just did some rough calculations and it looks like I can not open up all the valor gear before I am valor capped. I have capped this week already and it seems like it will take me around a month to get them open maybe longer.
I hope something for the first vendor or two is needed by me so I can spend some valor before I cap it.

I haven't played in about 6 months (meaning I hadn't even seen the revamp on the talent trees) so there's a bit of "what the hell is going on?" But I'm liking my Pandaran monk. I've never really played a melee character so this has been interesting. And I'll run my 80+ characters up to 90 soon enough. Just want to get my monk to 20 and a mount.
I love the Pandaran aesthetic though, and can't wait to check out some of that high-level content. I'm always interested in cool mounts, and some of those new ones are badass.

For all you whiners:

We've just applied a hotfix that removes the faction requirements for Justice gear.
Shado-Pan and August Celestial factions will no longer require Golden Lotus faction to purchase this gear. This will allow players who have reached level 90 to have additional sources of item level (ilevel) 450 gear to progress into the Dungeon Finder Heroic dungeons more readily.

What does the Justice gear cost? The same as last time? 700ish for wands, 1200ish for backs, 1600 for gloves and wrists and 2200ish for chests and legs?

Re: World of Warcraft Official Thread - Round 3
That sounds about right (not sure about wands, though). The bigger problem is it's almost immediately replaced by heroic gear (and heroics aren't all that heroic in nature... I'm looking at you, Shattered Halls).
