I'm also going to try to pry when Wii accessories are going to be out at Best Buy.

I tried out the Excite Truck demo at Gamestop today, and it was pretty cool. I'm not sure how I feel about that actual game, but finally holding the Wiimote and seeing how the whole thing works was great. I was the only one in the store when I was playing, but I imagine I had a silly grin on my face the whole time. November 19th can't come soon enough!

The Wiimote is fairly precise, but slight shakes in my hand when pressing a button would cause the cursor to drift just enough for me to click the wrong selection. However, I did see the promise of what this system will offer and I think many will be happy with it. However, I am not going to come aboard anytime soon. Excite Truck was a pure gimmick of a game and the kind of crap I expected from Sony and the Sixaxis, not Nintendo.
Maybe I am just too old to change, but I would not want to play most games with the Wiimote and maybe this is not the system for me.

Anyway, does anyone know if there will ever be a playable Zelda kiosk? I hope Excite Truck won't be the only game set up to be playable.

For those worried about Wii Sports in a sleeve case...stop by Target! Where they have all the Wii accessories, they also have a DVD of 'Marvel Ult/Tony Hawk' for the Wii. It comes in a Wii style case for the low price of a penny!

Okay, see, that's why I said my memory was hazy. It's all good. I appreciate the mini-review.

What does that mean? Why compare it to a Dreamcast game? Is it the graphics? The content?

I really didn't like the feel of having my arm out using the remote the way I see people in videos. This is a case of the Wii working the way it should, but maybe just not being for me.
I also honestly hated Excite Truck. It just felt too much like a Midway racing game from the 90's and the control really wasn't that tight or precise. I would have loved to demo it with Zelda or Wii sports instead.

Another list of VC games and tons of great titles. Not sure when these will come out but they have been submitted to the ESRB. Mario RPG, Super Metroid and Kirby Super Star are all AAA titles. I still own them for the SNES. They will definitely be worth $8 when they come out. Other great stuff for the N64 and SNES on the list, but I have Ocarina for the Cube already. Not interested in the NES titles though. I already have many unlocked on animal crossing.
Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Super NES; rated E for Everyone)
Kirby's Super Star (Super NES; rated E for Everyone)
Mario Kart 64 (Nintendo 64; rated E for Everyone)
Starfox 64 (Nintendo 64; rated E for Everyone)
Super Metroid (Super NES; rated E for Everyone)
Kirby's Dream Land 3 (Super NES; rated E for Everyone)
The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64; rated E for Everyone)
Excitebike (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Ice Climber (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Dr. Mario (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Mario Brothers (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Ice Hockey (NES; rated E for Everyone)
Soccer (NES; rated E for Everyone)

I can't believe the Wii is just an overclocked GameCube, that sucks! Of course, everyone can argue it's all about gameplay... but still, i got a GameCube...

I think actually make senses... I don't remember the launch price for the GameCube, but i'm guessing $150-$200. The Wii's cost is about $50-$100 more. Yeah, maybe they're selling the Wii at a lost, but so does the GameCube upon launch. The extra money went to the wireless controller and hardware upgrade.
Anyway, i like Ninendo for the gameplays and innovations (most people agree with me on this, if not, they gotta be Ninendo fan boys/girls).
Games like Mario and Zelda... You just can't get those games on the other consoles. Over the years, many games similar to Mario and Zelda were created, but none of them stands out much (Bandicot, Rayman, etc...)
I think there will be a price drop very soon on the Wii, definitely by summer 2007.

The Gamecube was $200 at launch. Also, I'm pretty sure Nintendo isn't in the business of taking losses on hardware sales.
The Wii offers much more than Gamecube + new controller. Besides the built-in Wifi and memory, there's a mega-emulator, WiiConnect24 back-end service, various channels, Mii generator, etc.
While none of those things are expensive, it goes a long way to show that the Wii isn't just a Gamecube with a tweaked clock.

Nintendo isnt losing any money on each Wii unit, they are making money.
Also, the Wii is not an "overclocked" gamecube. Saying it is implies its pretty much the exact same hardware that's been fiddled with to make it run faster, which it is not.
