Will the 'Cube RGB cable work with the Wii?
Composite will look terrible
Surely thats not the only output you can use? The 'Cube only came with composite cables but you could use an RGB cable.

Since 'Cube games will work with it, I'm sure some other form of video output must be provided, even if you have to buy something seperate.
I haven't got component output on my set, only composite and RGB.

How is it that the "affordable" next-gen console is now going to run me approx $430-450 to get the bundle I want?
Console - 250
Controller - 60
Game - ~50
Component Cables - ~40
Tax - 32.40

The problem is it only has one AV port. The Cube component cables don't have audio outs on them. I see no way they will work on the Wii. That picture is too small for me to tell, but it looks a lot like the component port on the Cube. However, without a second port to hook up audio we are out of luck for using the Cube cable.

Does the Wii Sports disc have full versions of each game on them or it is a demo of each game?

Awesome. They could make it a "Drumming Hero" with Ringo Starr.

See that Nintendo...(echo) I've been with you for every launch but this silly bundle and component nonsense is pushing me away. Not to mention really only one "must own" title, which is identical to the GC one I can get two weeks later. $450 to play [essentially] Gamecube Zelda doesn't sound very appealing right now.

That orange port looks awfully like an optical slot. I know the Wii doesn't do digital but maybe they are passing PLII through it. I wish Nintendo would clear this matter up. If this is the case I'm still on board, as I can use my GC component cables. If not, I may sit launch out and opt for some 360 games.

xbox360 premium: $400
controller: $50 (-$10 difference from Wii)
360 game: $60 (+$10 more than Wii)
You pretty much have to buy the $400 premium pack if you want to save your games
. Plus without the premium you can't play online. No matter which way you justify it, the difference between the Wii and 360 is:
the extra controller price -> $10 extra for the extra Wii controller
and the $150 price difference in the console
and the price margin between games, 360 games being +$10 higher.
This holds the ~$150 margin between the core360 and the wii, for the offline gamer that wants 2 controllers and 1 game. + $40/year xbox live subscription for online gaming.

but no online with the tardpack, so...
Even worse you pretty much have to buy the $400 premium pack if you want component cables - it'd be an awfully dumb move to spend $340 on the tard pack + component cables. Plus without the premium you can't play online.
No matter which way you justify it, the only difference between the core 360 is:

This creates a ~$40 margin between the core360 and the wii, for the offline gamer.
You also can't play online with the 360 tard pack. Plus you have to pay for your xbox live subscription if you want online.
So realistically the difference is $90 between the 360 and the Wii, plus xbox live fees of $50 a year = $140, plus game price premiums of $10 a game. That's a lot of money.

That made it a lot more simple. The 360 core is still a gimmick. It makes absolutely no sense to buy one unless you really don't care about online gaming and play in SD.
