What is funny is i actually rented that Alaskan Adventure game and played a good 4-5 hours of the thing. The hunting bit was mildly entertaining but the minis (fishing and dog sledding were ridiculously bad).

News out of X06 Korea: 100 Gig Hard Drive. No word on if it's headed to the States or pricing info.

Use MS math.

20 gig = $100
100 gig = $500

Sad but true.

I'm relatively new to the 360, having had one a couple weeks. Last night i was playing, and the lights on my wireless controller kept blinking and rotating, then it would stabilize and go back to a solid first quadrant. Is this normal?

I figured it might be a sign that the batteries need changed, though it feels like I only got 12 or 15 hours out of them total. I guess I'm spoiled by my wavebird battery life. I guess rumble comes at a cost.

The pack-in batteries aren't the hottest. Grab some nimh batteries and a recharger and you'll be good.

On a side note, why is the asian version of Assassin's Creed getting a bitchin 12" Statuette pack-in for standard retail? http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-...n-70-1o6i.html

It isn't fair dammit. (Noting that yes, I could just import it, but it should be in the US for the price with that pack-in...dammit).

Yeah, that is a sign the batteries are getting low. If you are playing a game or in teh dashboard, press the guide button to bring up the minidashboard. In the upper left you will see a battery meter.

It isn't the most accurate. But once the lights start spinning like that, they are getting fairly low.

I usually swap the batter out, or put it on a play and charge kit.

As with most new rechargable batteries, I hope you did give it a full days worth of charge before using it without the power cord attached?

Spring the $20 for the plug and charge kit. It's worth it down the road. The batteries die out fast being that it's wireless and if you use the rumble.

To charge mine I just plug it into one of my PC's so I don't have to keep my 360 on.

@SF, he didn't say anything about having rechargeables unless I missed it..

I'm hammering out a quick review for the Advance pack to add to my original Lumines review, but there is a little tidbit. The Madonna video isn't included, nor is any other licensed music or background video. It's just 22 more techno tunes and skins.

As far as I can tell, I just paid $7.50 for pretty colors.

EDIT: Ah, there are going to be a variety of $1 - $5 Artist packs in the future; including that Madonna one I saw at E3.

For those familiar with the PSP version, here is a list of the new songs / skins in the Advance pack:

Aback
Aoi
Bad Boy Century
Bean Jam
Block The Sky
Cuckoo Clock
Dao
Darkside Beside River
Fanatic
Hikaru Frame Work
Hometown
Kabuki
Kawaii
Mysterious Travel To Asia
Round About
Shadow of GrandFather
Sister Walk
So That May Visit You
Thier Mission To The Moon
Talk 2 You
Tintoy
You Are Not Here.

That... sucks...

It sounds like this is a game that is designed to just leech away the points. This is all starting to really turn me off to the idea of picking it up and i haven't even played the demo yet.

$60 with the statuette is a good deal imported. What's the shipping? I'd go for that one instead of the US version.

wow! 2500 points and not a single song/artist I've heard of. What a crock of shit. How can they keep calling this the "full" game when it is little more than a extended demo?

Yeah, at this point I don't think I'm even going to bother getting the demo.

On the other hand, I'm getting good mileage out of Doom. I hadn't played it for years, and it holds up surprisingly well (or maybe it's just the nostalgia factor). For anyone who had fun with Doom back in the day, get the demo and see if you still enjoy it. IMO it's the best "retro" Live Arcade game so far.

Eek, Shipping is $15.20 that's a bit of a deal killer. (The games are only $3.10 didn't think it'd be that much.)

And DOOM has held up surprisingly well, it's the best bang for the buck on Marketplace thus far (in terms of content.)

Interesting. It seemed to me like the controls worked really well on the 360 controller. I guess it's a YMMV situation, but at least you can DL the demo first to see if it works well for you or not.

Not to mention the memory card still says 64 on the end. Seems like pretty important detail to overlook.

To charge mine I just plug it into one of my PC's so I don't have to keep my 360 on.

Also, I swear the PC's USB charges faster than the 360's.

I'll get the Lumines advanced pack but I'm going to skip the add on songs. My high score so far is 100k. I've done better than that on the PSP version, I just haven't played it in a while. I was smoking people in the online vs battle. I wish that mode was best of three. The game usually goes too quick. A few times I spent more time connecting to a game than the game lasted.
