So far, Wolverine, Ghost Rider and SpiderWoman have been my favorite characters. Spiderwoman's Venom Blast is really powerful when it is leveled up as is Ghost Rider's Hell Fury(I think that's what it's called).

I've been using Spidey, Wolvie, Iron Man and Iceman. Good combo. But, like an idiot, I never "officially" set them up as a team. So, I now have strong individuals, but not as a team. :/

I used Captain America, Captain Marvel, Luke Cage, and Thor with Iron Man and Thing subbing in every so often.
I beat the game earlier yesterday and was definitely happy with it. I loved the ending and I might play through the game again to see if I can get a better one.
I'm hoping that Justice League is as good as Ultimate Alliance - I'll wait until I see some reviews before I decide to pick it up or rent it.

Wait, how do you set them as a team? I just read part of the manual, where it says that teams get "team points" and you lose 50 such points whenever you swap someone out. I've been swapping people out left and right.
Also, it's not entirely clear to me... do you unlock the alternate costumes only when you directly control the character for some time, or does it just happen as they level up?
I kinda miss the more precise leveling control you had in Xmen legends, where you could increase their stats as well as the powers manually. I don't miss the 5000 equippable items and having to go back to forge and sell them every few minutes to keep inventory low. Is there any "leadership" ability, like Cyclops had in Xmen Legends, where combo attacks gave you more experience?

As far as the alt costumes, you need to be controlling that specific character until he/she levels up, up to two costumes can be unlocked. 4th has to be unlocked from that character's comic mission.

my team right now is Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, Iron Man and Thor. I'll probably replace Thor once I get Ghost Rider but I really like that move of his where he smashes the hammer down on the ground.
I just mopped the floor with Mandarin after unlocking some specials. Used Iron Man's ability that lowers Energy cost then pulled out Ms. Marvel's time slowing move and pounded the crap out of him.
I think so far Iron Man is my favorite character.

My main team that I used through most of the game so far is Deadpool, Capt. America, Ghost Rider, and Human Torch. Deadpool is insane once you get his powers leveled up.
Also.
It's his Xtreme move or whatever they call it. There's a small white meter that builds up around your picture icon in the bottom left corner that I guess fills from beating the crap out of people. Once that is filled you can use it.
Also.

I guess I'm gonna have to pony up and use my store credit at EB/Gamestop and buy this Marvel game.
It seems you guys are havin' lotsa fun on it.

I think you have to pick teams that actually existed in the Marvel Universe or some sort of clever combo thereof. A friend got "Double Date" team when he grouped together 2 couples that apparantly dated in the comic books.
I am not a comic person but I think this is pretty sweet.

There are bonuses when you pick characters that are part of a theme or an existing comic book team (you got New Avengers because you used Luke Cage... though I'm not sure why Captain Marvel works for that). This is similar to how X-men Legends did it.
In addition, there is a customizable team option when you get to the Atlantis level (which i got to yesterday) where you choose any four characters to make your team, and if you use them together you'll level up the team as well as the individual characters. You'll lose team points when you swap a character out. (you can eventually buy extra roster spots for the team as well, though I'm not sure how swapping out team members affects the team score).

My team is called New Avengers and the original members were Captain America, Ms.Marvel, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman. Since then, I've recruited Human Torch, Black Panther, Iceman and Daredevil
This part is false and a common misconception. You do NOT have to keep the same team in order to keep the team bonus. How it works is at least 3 members from your team must be active in order for you to retain the team bonus. You can put someone in reserve and switch out as much as you want, as long as you still have 3 team members active. For example, my team, New Avengers, consist of Cap A, Spidey, Spiderwoman and Ms. Marvel. As long as I have 3 of them active, I can use anyone else I want. If I only use 2 or 1, then the team wont be recognized, and you can see that bc your team icon will disappear and you wont get any bonuses
The ONLY way that your team reputation goes down is if you actually replace someone in your roster and thats done by going to the team menu and selecting a new character in place of someone on your roster. Going back to my team example, if I want to permanently replace Spiderwoman, then I would do it this way. I dont see why anyone would want to bc losing the 50 reputation points isnt worth it.
