My understanding of the stamina glitch is that the stamina does decrease, it just doesn't show in the GUI. So you'll be running down field, thinking you have unlimited stamina, but it really is draining. They are for sure working on a fix for that one.
I'm not so sure the legendary players thing is really a glitch. It makes sense to me that if you unlock the players and they show up on the free agent list, other teams should be able to pick them up. That's the way it works in EA's last MLB game.

EA sucks hard. I love FNR3 but I hate the online interface. I wish M$ never gave into them just to get Madden on Live. They should have to play nice with Live just like every other game.

I read on Operation Sports that there is already a patch on the way for the fatigue issue. I just played the new Madden at Walmart and it was excellent. It seems as if they took my problems with NCAA and ironed them out. It seems to play much more smoothly than NCAA. The visuals are much more refined (and I think the NCAA visuals are outstanding). I didn't get the opportunity to play any mini-games or lead blocking controls or anything. I just took over a game that was being played (Eagles vs. Packers...snore...). I did notice the different running styles for different backs. Westbrook would duck under or "slip around" people when you hit the Right Analog stick. McNabb, on the other hand, dropped his shoulder and ran over Ahmad Carrol when it pushed the stick forward. Not sure I want my QB putting his head down and running over defenders, but I suppose in real life McNabb could probably run over Carroll in that situation too. Overall, playing those couple of quarters in Walmart has pushed me off the fence to where I'll definitely be purchasing the game on Tuesday.

JHosk, which grocery store did you see it at? I checked out a couple when I was out over the weekend, and didn't see it anywhere, but the one on Stavanger looked like it had taken some games down. All game sections were full except one that was empty, so I thought that it might be there.

As stated, it's now $47.99 for 360 at Circuit City. Pretty hard to pass up, so I ordered it (w/free shipping). Everywhere else says $59.99 so this is no-brainer for me, esp. since I haven't got a new Madden since 2001.

Just wanted to let people know, there's a privacy issue with EA games on Xbox Live. I was actually looking forward to getting Madden for the 360, but after reading this article, I might have to pass.
Check it out:

Well, it looks like the above link I provided is now dead. For the Slashdot discussion of this article you can go here:
http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/08/20/0526211
Here's a brief quote of what was written at the link:
"Electronic Arts takes the Privacy Policy position that by playing EA games online you are actively authorizing Electronic Arts to extract whatever data it deems pertinent from your system and from Microsoft's Xbox Live customer database. Further, this sharing of customer information seems to happen without any effort to make the casual user aware that a stream of tiny, data-fat bits full of juicy private information is issuing forth through the online ether into the waiting and hungry servers at Electronic Arts.
Which is all to say that, if you've ever played an Electronic Arts game over Xbox Live, EA may already have your email address, phone number, birth date, and credit card information filed away without you even knowing it."

I think the 360 looks better has fancier effects slightly than the pc, but the pc version finally controls like a console using the 360 controller. I mean its damn seemless silky smooth control wise on the pc for the first time ever. And the speed of the game is awesome vast improvement over last years game. For the first time ever a pc sports game feels totally like a console version loving it.

47.99 in store at CC
$13 "instant gift rebate" at Fry's as well, bringing it down to 46.99 for 360 (36.99 for Xbox, PS2, and I assume PSP and PC, ad just excludes DS and HOF Edition from the rebate)

I played this for a little while last night, it was fun. I will have to try to get more in depth today though. I Do have a problem with the manual though, It is only about 6 pages and expects that you have played the previous games. The in game tutorials only go over the new features. So I had a tough time figuriing out the Qb vision thing.
Can someone explain to me about training for a game? It looked like it gives you stat points to improve your players?
Can you train only a certain number of players before each game? Is there any downside? Like they could get injured if you push them to hard? Sorry i just couldn't get the answers from the manual.
edit: I forgot to add my question were about franchise mode.

I happened to be driving by Blockbuster at 10, so I decided to stop in and get the game.
Some tidbits:
Lots of 30 year old white trash were there to RENT the game.
The parking lot was full (!)
The Playstation 3 is going to have a 6GB hard drive and some new "blue ray technology" for $600.
I was associated with them -- the shame.

IGN reviews are up. The 360 version actually got a higher score than PS2/XBOX. Looks like this one is worth buying. I'm going to have to finish the year in my NCAA dynasty so I can import the draft class.
