Just a quick question that I'm sure has been answered before but I couldn't find with a search... I've seen a 'maximum resolution' of 1360x768 listed for monitors. If I buy a monitor with a resolution higher than that, that just means I won't be able to use it at its full capacity, correct? I believe it's a 1440x900. It has component hookups so I imagine I'd be using those. Meaning it would simply output at 1280x720?

Has anyone heard anything about Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3? I bought SF 2 and realized I suck at it. Can't wait for UMK3 though I was always better at MK than SF.

Saints Row has got to be the most addicting game this generation, with Call of Duty 2 close behind, or tied. It's a great game, and I'm addicted to it.

I picked up Test Drive Unlimited today, because I took something back to Blockbuster, and they'd only give me credit. I'd been planning on renting it first, but ah well. I'm sure it's good.

The very first page of this thread. Flay has a few big Xbox buttons - one of them says FAQ.

I am also waiting on MK3. I haven't heard anything but I'm sure this is the place to stay tuned to. MK3 and Lumines are the only arcade items I've wanted to buy since the system launched. I bought one right away just to try it out and haven't found anything yet that I've wanted. I'd much rather have the old Simpsons arcade game or any of those popular 4 player co-op games.

Maybe so but does it have the staying power in multiplayer that COD2 has? We're nearing a year after launch and many of us are still playing the hell outta COD2.

I'm so bummed that I traded COD2 so long ago. I traded it before the multiplayer patch came out and then.....BAM....the patch it out and everyone on here starts playing. I think I missed playing with you all by about 9 days. Before the patch everyone avoided the game like crazy.

I wouldn't think so. Just look at the daily schedule and see what games were so popular to be put on that list becuase people couldn't get enough of that game.

Two come immedieatly to mind, Burnout and GRAW. Both haven't been touched by many, many people since that list was made.

That's true I think I played the game only once before the patch and that was the day I got my 360, it was a horrible experience. The game went from being the worst multiplayer game on the 360 to the best with just a simple patch.

You can find the GOTY Edition for super cheap sometimes. I think eatntae just got it for $35 this past weekend and that includes some of the pay maps. Of course COD3 comes out in two months so you may just want to wait, hopefully the multiplayer is nailed down from day one.

The reason Burnout died is because it's a pain in the ass to get a group together with all the connection issues to start with. Then if you're super lucky and you get everyone in a room someone WILL have lag issues.

GRAW pisses me off cause I freakin loved that game and a combination of 1.) people just not liking it for some reason outside of the co-op missions and 2.) the rediculous price of the freakin chapter 2 download, killed the game overnight.

I would gladly still play graw with anyone who wanted to, but I never downloaded the overpriced chapter 2 stuff.

We even tried to ressurect Burnout a couple weeks back and i probably tried for an hour and a half and didn't get a single game played due to people not being able to join the room. What a half baked game.

GRAW was decent - but i only liked the co-op mode and the whole waiting for a mission to end before joining the game was terrible for me. I would always get into the room just after a game started and have a 25-40 minute wait for a game. No thank you.

Now DOA4 on the other hand was a good deal of fun and the wait in that game didn't bother me nearly as much since you could watch all the fights and talk to everyone.

Indeed, and i understand why some games don't let people join in the middle of a match due to throwing things off-balance but it's not like it would upset the computer controlled terrorists. Heck, when someone joins they could just spawn a few more tangos to make up for them.

Stupid game.

Yea, I only wish COD did this in headquarters matches because then it wouldn't let people like you come in and throw things OFF-BALANCE because you won't "spectate" until game end..

Texas Hold'em weirdness. I played two different games last night with the same outcome. We start the first hand with 8 people. The first 4 to 5 people go all-in as usual so I fold. The guy after me folds too and then all of sudden everyone drops, even the guy behind me. Since I was the last person in room, I then win first place in the tournament even though I folded.

Another 'glitch' I found is that if everyone goes all-in, then one person takes first place and everyone else wins second place and the game is over. It doesn't split the winnings, everyone gets the same amount. Rinse, lather, repeat. A cheap way to pad your bank roll.

Like i throw the balance off that much.

Is there a way to see if the games are even before you choose a team? If so i don't know it or i would try that if i knew the game was a headquarters game.... but that is because i'm not a huge fan of headquarters. If it was team DM then screw that i'm joining and throwing off the balance!

GRAW is still my favorite 360 game. I just traded in my COD this week since I was never playing it. I am still on Graw 90% I am on my 360. Anyone feel free to send me an invite if you wanna play.

Yeah to be honest GRAW helped me get over my fear of Co-op and Team shooter missions. I used to avoid them on HALO II but now I like them. But I also agree that waiting to join games sucks BIG TIME. Let's not not even get into Chapter 2. I still can't get myslef to buy that thing.

Having said that I still play GRAW if I can get into games that 1) aren't only 1 min into a 40 min match and 2) don't have chapter 2 content.

Not really a sports fan but I generally like Hockey. I also read in a thread here that this EA Hockey game is the game to get.

I just DL'd it and I'm going to try it in a few.

That exact same thing happened to me TWICE, except I was on the 'all-in hand won, but finished 4th' side of it both times. I think I posted about it a few pages back in this thread. In fact, the tournament had just started and I had KK right away. Four people ahead of me went all-in, so I went all-in. I'm normally not the type to go all-in at the drop of a hat but I figured it was a free tourney, I had a great hand. Turns out nobody else had a better hand, I even got a third king on the river. It says I won $2500 and then wham - it says I finished in 4th place. WTF! I stopped playing the multiplayer after that. It took ALL the fun out of it for me to have such a great payoff on the first hand and then the game end like that.

You've got to be fucking kidding me!? The NHL '07 is FINALLY available, after it was said to have been on the Marketplace about two weeks ago. I cannot wait to play that game - it's one of my most anticipated games, if not my one most anticipated game.

I'm going to download it as soon as I can.

I haven't played Saints Row online, but I've heard that it's quite problematic. I don't think there's a better online game out there, than Call of Duty 2. I love it.
