Frogger seemed to be ok to me also. The controls seemed a bit better with the "Classic" graphics.

I like the NCAA 07 demo also, but it's taking a bashing by most (CAG.com)

NCAA plays well, but the graphics look ps2-ish to me. Nothing even remotely next gen. So in that sence, its a disapointment.

We're so excited about the great Xbox Live Arcade titles coming out this summer that we're gonna party like it's … um … 1986! Yep, we're inviting our friends over, cranking the Top Gun soundtrack (come on, you KNOW you wanna go back to the "Danger Zone"), ordering pizza, and playing retro Xbox Live® Arcade games.

Just got done trying out the LOTR demo. I dont know whats up with MS's servers but they're freakin slow as heck now. I used to download demos in less then an hour (1000+k/sec downloads here), but now they take 5-6 hours! They need to bump up the bandwidth or something. But about the game, i played the tutorial and thought it was a tad complicated but i learned pretty quick. The last RTS game i ever played was Warcraft 2 on my 486DX/2, so its been a while.

I then went online and tried my first online game with it. Took 3 trys to actually get into a game, id end up going in a game to only have the other guy drop out, but finally got going. After a super long online match, i realised i suck at this because i didnt know a lot of the rules (like how to keep making more troops, it'd say i ran out of the ability?) and i didnt even know about the trees and so on. Also, the enemy had some insanely wicked monsters like spiders, and dragons and even a huge worm! I probably just didnt know what i was doing but i enjoyed it a lot. I will probably try it again, not sure if id buy it, but its really well done. Controls are pretty tight too. Maybe once its quite a bit cheaper, i might make the jump. But a fantastic demo otherwise. Probably the best one so far.

I played the LOTR single player demo....I thought it was ok. I never really played a RTS game, but this seemed ok.

The Mass Effect Trailer looked mighty good though too.

Thank you. This is indeed the case. The controls are nice and tight with the original version. I started breezing through the levels once I switched.

It appears some stores are giving out SAINT'S ROW demos with pre-order. I have it pre-ordered at GameRush, so I will have to check. I know the demo hits the marketplace August 1st I THINK.

Hey guys. Here's a snippet of an email I just exchanged with a PR guy from MSFT. He's been brutally honest with me in the past on quality of titles, and said I chould share his words.

"Lumines Live! doesn’t have a public release date, but tell your guys that it will be coming soon and is awesome. Cloning Clyde, up next week is a really funny, strange game."

I've been waiting for Lumines. Hopefully beginning August. That would be quite nice.

Lumines is high on my wishlist and Poker as well. Moreso than SFII and Galaga.

Xbox 360 sales brisk in U.S.
Published: 6 hours ago; 9:45am PDT
by Punch Jump Crew

Microsoft's Xbox 360 saw brisk sales in June to help boost overall game sales 25% in the U.S.
NPD Group on Thursday reported that the Xbox successor sold an estimated 277,000 units.

The console was available in limited quantities for several months after launch due to production problems that have since been eliminated.

This week, Microsoft announced that it would release new arcade offerings to Xbox Live Arcade each week to allow owners to download classics like Frogger and Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting. Xbox Live Arcade has seen 5M downloads to date.

The Nintendo DS handheld was the top selling hardware platform in June at near 600,000 units.

Thanks for the props, but I'm actually around #60 in the world according to MyGamerCard and Top360Tag. I'll never get to the top, but I'll try to hang around in the top 100 as long as I keep at it.

Ah, ok... then #21 for people who use the blogs

Looks like in order to keep up you'd need to import the games from Japan to get those points too.

Why doesn't FROGGER allow 2-player SPLIT-SCREEN on the same console. I hope they have a patch for this

Ha, if I could actually afford it. I'm just waiting until Vista rolls out and the "Games for Windows" start giving points.
