My GameStop said tomorrow, but Wal-Mart had it today, so I've already played the first two worlds and will be going back for more later.

Same thing happened with Animal Crossing. My local Wal-Mart had it a day before anyone else, on shipping day.

Buying A DS for this game

Saw an ad for this during the NBA game a bit abo. Really can't wait until after my exam tomorrow night now. Looked incredible in motion on the TV rather than a crappy streaming video.

I know, which means it most likely won't be there until the truck arrives in the late afternoon. I've had these problems before, hoping the shipment has already come in.

I played this early. I'll be buying it for sure. I played up through the 2nd castle (like 2-7).

Great game. Very much like SMB3, but with a definite SMB1 feel. I got the turtle suit once, that was pretty cool. Mini mario is mainly used to get into mini-pipes and secret areas, and mega-mario is like a bulldozer of destruction

I'm stealing my wife's DS because of this game. I'm stoked about having a new Mario side-scroller.

I am very excited. So far I think I am going to love everything about it. Everything except the name. WTF? New super mario bros? I really wish they thought of a different name. It will clearly be dated and doesn't even convey the sense that this is indeed a full on 2D sequel. To me it is a worse name then Wii.

I will be buying a DS for this game...!!!

Before New Super Mario Bros. entered my life, Yoshi's Island was, to me, the greatest platformer ever created. That title may now have to go to New Super Mario Bros.

A lot of what made Yoshi's Island so fantastic was how the designers used graphic capabilities to create and incorporate new gameplay elements into the mix. That's the same with New Super Mario Bros.-- the power of the Nintendo DS makes it possible for new elements like the deforming terrain, giant 3D enemies and obstacles, fully rotating environments, and countless other elements that are more integral to the game design than they are for "ooh neat" effect.

This game can easily be completed in a day if you simply romp through the bare minimum of New Super Mario Bros. level structure. Some levels are easier than others, and boss battles are a bit on the predictable side. To some, this will seem like a disappointment. But like games in Mario's past, there's more to this Nintendo DS game than the minimum requirements - far more levels and challenges await those who try and complete a level by snagging everything before the end.

Admittedly there aren't as many gameplay innovations in New Super Mario Bros. as compared to previous Super Mario releases, but that's mostly due to the fact that much of platforming's innovations are related to 3D designs. But that said, this Nintendo DS release still proves that Nintendo still has some great ideas brewing for its plumber in his classic setting. There's an incredible amount of fresh, fun challenge to uncover in this revival.

Here's to the start of something new for Nintendo's old plumber.

What a fun little game. Only got up to 2-2 before I decided I should get back to work, but I'll be playing tonight while the wife watches SVU, that's for sure.

I just got this game and I must say it is another "must own" for the DS, for me it offers a trip back to memory lane but better than that, it is fresh, Mario has new moves, the levels are challenging and fun. Also you can play Mario vs. Luigi against someone else regardless of whether or not they have the game cartridge and there are also many mini-games for those who just wanna pick up and play a quick 5-10 min. game. I highly recommend this game it is a great value for your money.

What types of multiplayer modes are there? I saw a commercial yesterday for the game and Mario was throwing a fireball at Luigi. I lost my DS last summer, and haven't bought another one because I'm waiting for the DS Lite. I think I'm going to pick this up at CC today though, because I doubt the game will be this cheap when the Lite does get released.

Just picked mine up from CC. They literally had 100+ copies behind the counter.

My CC didn't have it in yet (no surprising, POS ghetto store) so I just picked it up for full price at Gamestop as I've been looking forward to playing tonight the past two days while cramming for my final today.

Was going to grab and ad and price match somewhere potentially, but they didn't even have any circulars in the store, they had pulled them do to some mistake in the ad.

Needless to say, I'm done with that CC.

Just and FYI, while doing some other shopping I noticed that Target had theirs out already, even though their ad says 8 a.m. tomorrow.

Picked it up at Circuit City and I'm enjoying it. Wish you could turn into the giant Mario more, but it seems to have a ton of replay value with trying to find all the coins and all the secret exits.

There's 2 forms of multi-player.

1) Mario vs. Luigi - 2 player battle for stars on 5 "looped" stages.
2) Minigames - 2-4 players on 26 minigames

Good new is that each version only requires one cart to play

I'm so jealous I don't have a DS right now, I can't stand missing out on a new 2d Mario game.
