But I think Mario would win out.

Here's a fun little speculative exercise. We've heard that there's still more mjaor surprises for the Revolution. Let's guess what it is.
Is it software related, or is it hardware related? I'm guessing it's a killer launch app, like Mario.

It'll probably be a combination of both hardware and software. If they've got a Mario to show it's going to be a huge surprise to rally hype at E3.. unveiling a new Donkey Kong wouldn't have that effect. I've got a nice tingle waiting for any Nintendo surprises.

Metroid would be on top if 2D, but the Prime games have lost me with all the backtracking looking for obscurley hidden artifacts, keys etc. and the overly difficult (in my casual gaming opinion) bosses.

The show centers around Aang, the last of his tribe of Airbenders and how he is the avatar(master of all 4 elements) reincarnated. Each element has a turn of producing the avatar and each lifetime the cycle rotates from tribe to tribe. Those tribes being Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. The avatar must master each of the four elements in his lifetime to save everyone/the planet.
I'm not doing the show justice, but it is very good. I'm sure you could turn up some better info with a google search, etc.
The show isn't too kiddy, which is nice. It has a good balance of things that would entertain someone younger as well as containing some complexity to keep an older person interested.
As long as the game isn't too kiddy, I might check it out when it is released and I have a Revolution system.

I don’t think this is something that anyone realized before. And at first it may not even make sense. But consider a “first-person sword-slasher” game that
played like this:
* You move around (walk forward, strafe to the side) by using the joystick with your left hand.
* You turn your character’s “head” by turning and moving around the left nunchuck piece. You point it up, your view looks up; you point it left, your view
turns left.
* You can swing a sword by swinging the “right nunchuck”, i.e. the “remote control” piece.
I’m not saying that I’ve heard of a game being made that works that way; I’m just pointing out the extra capabilities which this could provide.
If this is true (and again, I believe this rumor is quite reliable), it’s an additional level of depth in the Revolution controls which may not have been previously realized. Essentially you have dual 3D mice… which is pretty cool.

Not sure about that one... but here's another link that I just came across from the same site as above: I'm not sure how credible they are.

they spelled accelerometer wrong if that tells you anything
I get what they're saying now though. They are saying tilt not position per se. The controller can sense motion directionally so it will know when one side has been raised above the other, that actually seems like it's going to be fairly complex to program for especially when you consider dead zones and that sort of thing. Also unless they are seriously expensive accels they only detect motion linearly.

from Gamespot: Madden Revolution!
For the first time in years, development on a major console version of EA's marquee franchise football series is being taken outside the doors of the company's Orlando, Florida-based EA Tiburon studio. The game is instead being handled north of the border, by a special Revolution-focused development group within EA's Burnaby, British Columbia studio.
...
While many details will have to wait until E3 kicks off, GameSpot was given an advanced scouting report which said that the gameplay will make extensive use of the Revolution controller's motion-sensing capabilities.
