How am I suppose to balance my time between the new Nintendo system and WoW's expansion? :P

I don't think I've ever been more excited for a console release by Nintendo. I can't wait. :banana:

I've been listening to IGN's podcasts and they had 3 confirmed titles so far:

Launch Titles:
Cars (based on Pixar movie) - THQ
Unnamed Title - Midway

Other
Trauma Center - Atlas

I'm gonna look like such an idiot swinging that controller around; I can't wait :D!!

Matt at IGN also said that Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam is going to be a launch title.

Yeah, there are about 30-40 referenced games so far, but without firm announcements, from the source, I don't want to list them. (Firm = title, expected release time) I'm not into "inflating the numbers" game that some people like to play. No worries, plenty of games are coming soon.

Will N64 Rare games be downloadable on the Virtual Console (Jet Force Gemini, Banjo, Diddy Racing, Perfect Dark et al). :)

According to Microsoft, some will, some won't. Games with Nintendo IP's will, but games with IPs that Nintendo sold (like Perfect Dark) will not. For me the greatest sadness comes from the fact that Blast Corps may not make it on the system.

I forgot about that one. If not on the VC then maybe MS will get Rare to put up Blast Corps & Jet Force Gemini on the Xbox Live Arcade.

I'll have both systems so I'm good with either decision.

Thats a shame about Perfect Dark. :( I guess that rules out Goldeneye as well? There could be a huge legal wrangle over that one since EA own the Bond game licence now.
Don't Rare still have Nintendo's old code for Goldeneye?

IP = Intellectual Property

GoldenEye = Will not be seen on any console I believe, EA now owns all rights to the bond license, for the game to be rereleased it would have to be approved by them. Neither Nintendo nor MS has the rights to this franchise.

Blast Corps/ Jet Force Gemini = Although every Rare Game under the SNES and N64 were severly assisted by Nintendo in creation and ultimately published by Nintendo, MS appears to have the rights to this franchise. It is unlikely that the games will ever be released on LIVE arcade due to nintendo's role in their creation. Instead, MS and Rare have the rights to make new games based on those franchises, just as they did with Perfect Dark.

What about the Donkey Kong Rare games (the DKC series and DK 64 and Diddy Racing) or Banjo Kazooie? :) I'm sure those are still strictly Nintendo properties, not MS.

I would play the old game as the birdman just soaring through the city taking snapshots as the sun was setting (or rising i forget). It was so relaxing.

I was never a fan of the series but with the new controller It makes me want to check it out.

I've actually never played a Pilotwings game.

Get your self a SNES emulator and check out the original right away. (If you have a PC controller) It still stands the test of time.

I didn't play Pilotwings64 until a few years into the N64 lifespan and enjoyed it immensely. You should really check it out Pixy.
