Greetings!
For any New Yorkers that might be interested-Long Islanders in particular,
It is confirmed that Target streeted it early.
as of around 4:30 p the one in Broadway mall in Hicksville had around 30 or so on the shelves (no regular DS in sight!) 141.20 w/tax.
Mine is charging now!
I'll post this in the other DS thread as well.

I'm so mad! I rushed home from work, hopped into my car, turned the key, and it wouldn't start!! The battery had run out somehow!!
. So no target today, I had to take my car to get fixed, barely made it, I had to jump it 3 times. God damnit! Guess that means I'll be taking the bus to target tomorrow.

Stores that broke street are still in fairly low numbers. I went to a couple of Targets and Wal-Marts and came back empty.
I did call the EBGames where my girlfriend has one preordered, and they said their stock shipped out to them today, will arrive in store tomorrow (the 1st), and they plan to start selling tomorrow as well. This gels with a number of people on cheapassgamer.com who claim that because some stores broke street, the rest are going to go ahead and start selling on the first.
I won't believe it until I see it, but I thought I'd pass on the info/rumors.

picked one up this afternoon from the super target in edmond, ok at 2nd and bryant...quail springs was a no go, as they said they weren't allowed to sell them until june 11...edmond store had them sitting in the case right next to the other games
on another note is anyone finding the d-pad a little janky...i know it isn't just my unit because the demos at best buy and target had the same feeling...kinda loose...feel like if you are pushing right, could easily have some up or down action also....

I posted a link for www.gameplay.com and there's also www.play.com - both are UK sellers. I also see that PlayAsia.com is selling it as well.

I tried calling a bunch of stores near me(northern MA, southern NH area) and most stores confirmed that they had them in the stockroom but would not sell until the 11'th. Anyone else from my area have any luck? From the sounds of it most of the stores who broke street date are in the midwest.

FYI - picked one up @ a Super Target last night in Dallas...(Skillman/NW HWY).
They had another 10 or so on the shelf. Checkout lady in the Electronics department said it was the most popular item of the day!

Great way that I read somewhere else that worked to get it today.
At Sears.com you could look it up, and check availability at your local store for pickup. I ordered it this morning, and picked it up at lunch. They had a hard time finding it in the back room, but after about 7 minutes of waiting, I now have one.

I know there are a few people in Louisville on this board so here are some places you can save a trip to. They all mentioned June 11 as the street date so no selling before then.
Wal-Mart - Hurstbourne Pkwy
Target - Hurstbourne/Taylorsville
Target - Westport/Hubbards
EB Games - Shelbyville Rd.

So. Once I get one of these bad boys what are some great CHEAP games to be had. Noticed I could get PacNRoll for under $15. IGN gave it a great review, anyone here play it?
Already snagged New Mario Bros. I'm probably going to get Monkey Ball next week and I want to get Mario Kart, but are there any in the sub $20 range that are worth my cash?
Saw a game on clearance at target today for around $6.50, I can't remember the name though.

Tetris is still $30, last I checked, but it is fantastic. Especially if you've got WiFi.
Brain Age is neat. Cheap, yes. But really only a passing curiosity, imo. Once I had unlocked everything, I haven't been back to it. Of course, NSMB could be to blame.
Are GBA games up for grabs too or just interested in DS?

D'oh. Just tried the sears thing and got "the call." Said it was showing out of stock and a manufacturing recall.
Oh well. I guess I wait until the 11th.

I'll take GBA suggestions as well. I sold mine a few years ago.
*edit - found it. Polarium was $6.50 at Target. Any feedback on that one?
