Geez man, you must be hella skilled. I'd think the Lite would be way too small to "get dirty on", but maybe I've been doing it wrong all these years!

It will be easy. Just go to any non-game store, like Target, Walmart, etc.

I beat the living hell out of New Super Mario Bros. and am now playing Phoenix Wright. It's pretty good as has been beaten to death on the likes of "the internet" as badly as a Family Guy joke, but I will try to squeeze another strike against the dead horse: This game is fucking awesome. Okay, yes, it's just a text adventure and that in itself isn't really exciting (to me, at least) but the writing in the game is par excellence. Since it appears the SECOND shipment of this game had already been drained dry I guess I can't show my support through a purchase but I'll probably be in line for the sequel.

The local Best Buy had Pac Pix for $9.99, for anyone interested. YMMV.

The pics of I've seen of the sequel seem to rely heavily on characters from the first.

I was planning on doing the same... but I broke down and Pre-Ordered it from EB since I could get just itself, not the silly bundle you can get onine... I want it on launch day, but would rather not give money to EB if I dont have to. I am going to try to get it from Costco if I can (I am not sure if they are even going to carry it), but I try to be everything from Costco electronic wise.

Well, I had mine pre-ordered from GameStop but I cancelled it over the weekend and pre-ordered a black one from an online UK store. Once I heard Nintendo was making a black one I wasn't about to stick with white.

What was the cost of the black one? Do you have a link?

Thanx Chris

Total with shipping came to just a little over $200, which is roughly about $60 more than you can get a white one here, if you include tax/shipping. I'm probably insane for paying $60 more to have the color I want but oh well - it's my way of giving NoA the finger for not releasing a black one here.

If you're interested, this is where I got mine......

Thank you for the info. Have we verified that we won't be lacking anything by importing a European model? Of course the voltage is different, but we should be okay with downloads, correct?

I'd love to have a black DS Lite, but I'm not paying $200 for it.

I'm pretty sure IGN, Reggie or someone confirmed black for the US, just not at launch time.

A guy at L C V G is reporting that some Target stores have already received their DS Lite shipments and are selling them early. So, you might give your local Target a call and see what they've got.

(Tried to post a link to their thread, but apparently this forum's software doesn't like it. http:// l c v g.com/forum/showthread.php?p=172444#post172444 )

I was in Target last night and didn't see them. Only the original DS. Might have to stop by tomorrow.

Kotaku is running a DS contest all June long. Problem is I can't really decipher their code.

Yep, I got confirmation from a Super Target in Memphis. Tried a regular Target here in Atlanta last night, and was out of luck. I plan to hit a couple more stores today, just in case.

Woo hoo! Someone on Joystiq mentioned getting one at the Mt. Laurel, NJ Target, and since that's about 5 minutes from where I work, I ran right over and picked one up! They had roughly 30 or so still in the case, so if anyone in the South Jersey/Philly area is interested, check it out.

I just plugged in the Lite a few minutes ago to compare it to my original DS, and it's amazing how much nicer the Lite's screens are. I like the Lite's form factor a lot too. The only two minor complaints I have are the new connector for the AC adapter (can't use the old DS/GBA power cable anymore), and the fact that the lightness of the plastic makes it feel a little fragile. As I said, very minor quibbles. Well worth the upgrade, especially if your original DS has seen a lot of use. The outer plastic of my old DS has a bunch of scratches - I'll have to be more careful with the Lite.

Crap, I had something I needed to return to Targét after work.

Maybe I can avoid going to the games section?
