Great. So most of the negative comments are from American FPS developers thus far? That's wonderful news in my opinion.
Duke Nukem Forever.

PS3 and Xbox 360 equal in sales.

Wasn't the other negative from the Unreal camp? Same deal. Ten versions/sequels of one game and 1 or 2 other titles.
I'm open for negative feedback as the controller/system can't be perfect, but the negatives so far are "fanboy-ish" in their tone and come from companies that haven't had a hands on demonstration. Not to mention were unlikely to develop for Nintendo in the first place.
The few negatives so far are easily dismissable, but the floor is open to anyone with experience with the system as well as a company that had a genuine interest in developing for Nintendo.

Yes, the other negative I remember reading was from Epic The Unreal Company. I think anybody making a comment that Revolution may be Nintendo's last system is highly uneducated bile. The Gamecube has been highly profitable for Nintendo and their portable line brings in enough money that they could run a string of hardware failures to match Sega's "legacy" and still be in the green. Then you have to factor in Japan, where video games are still considered Sony and Nintendo.. they don't even acknowledge Microsoft there.. Nintendo is doing just fine.
Besides, the man's company has had a single game in development for what, 10 years now? And to top it off it's a game in a genre where a new one is released every week. Yeah, he's in the know alright. The fact that he thinks PS3 and Xbox 360 will be equal in sales just shows how far his opinions are to be taken seriously.

One thing I love about Nintendo consoles is that they seem to be built with children in mind. Not that they're childish, but they are uber durable. I never felt like I could break my SNES, N64, or Gamecube through normal usage (the NES was pretty durable too, but I had to blow one too many carts for my tastes....even if it was my fault. What? I was 8.
whereas I feel like my PS2's tray is going to break whenever I put in a new game. Hope the Revolution keeps that trend up.
I'm probably going to follow Pixy and get a Rev at launch and a PS3 a little down the line. I dig my X-Box, but I just have no desire right now to get a 360. Maybe in four years or something when they're $129.
Is anyone else a little worried about the maybe $20 price tag for N64 games though? $8-$14 was more of what I was thinking. They have it right on the NES and SNES price schemes though (assuming they hold).
And I hope they throw Sonic if nothing else in the next Smash Bros title. That would be hella awesome.

With the PS3 presumably delayed til November and with the Revolution coming out in the Fall?, that doesn't give either console much time to shine by themselves in the spotlight, does it? I only mention this because the 360 will have basically a year to claim it is the newest system, etc.

This doesn't really have anything to do with the Revolution system, but is does have something to do with Nintendo, and I thought it was cute:

According to Nintendo Power:
(From Go Nintendo)
Reggie will be speaking at the D.I.C.E. summit at 10:30 a.m., February 9th. Reggie’s speech is entitled “Expanding the Market for Interactive Entertainment” and will last for 45 minutes. Nintendo Power is telling everyone to remember this date, and make sure to check out Nintendo.com. Will we be seeing some new Revolution details? Perhaps a brand new Twilight Princess trailer?

By the way, did you see that picture of Reggie holding the revolution controller and calling it his boomstick? I think everyone should revulate themselves after seeing that picture. People who pick sides on a videogame war and want to argue over a system are sad folk to me.

I'm 28 and still game a bit although no where near what I used to as a kid. My tastes in games have also steared away more from twitch based action games to strategy games and heavily story driven games.
I think gaming is just as justified as any other hobby, as long as you manage it along with your priorities such as family, career, friends, and physical / mental health.
