I just heard a Sony rep claim the PS3 was 10 times more powerful than Xbox 360!

Sony's bullshit knows no bounds.
I think the best looking games are Kameo and PGR3.

Added a link to Gamespot's Video Cable comparison screenshots. It's nice to see the differences in the quality:

I hope that it does because I heard that the 360 is able to decode vc1 which is the method of compression for WMVHD.
Whoever gets the 360 early please test this functionality.

Game Crazy Horror Story!
Had one system Pre-Ordered back in May. Ordered a Premium system.
All of a sudden this week, they now say I have to buy two games and an accessory to even pick up the system. But, I was still guaranteed as being on first shipment and having one all set up. So, whatever. I mean games are needed anyways. Not that this is even legal, but whatever.
Anyways, now just tonight I get a call saying it will not be available till after Christmas at all.
What kind of games is this bullshit place playing?
Anyways, just had to vent for a moment.

Thats what I planned on doing. Im going to go up there tomorrow.
I paid in full all the way back then. This place got to use the money interest free for months. I know it's going to be a fight to get it back, but I will get it back. I already know without even going in that they are not going to want to give the money back.
Never again I say. Ugh! I should have pre-ordered from Walmart. Not that anything is guaranteed but at least my chances would have been better.
I would have pre-ordered from somewhere more legitimate like Target or Toys r Us, but none of them did pre-orders.

There are so many threads I am following in this forum and a few outside of here that I forget where I heard what.
But I wanted to make sure that I posted the link for this 360 Decal Site. I saw it the other day and it caught my eye.
I looked around and will most likely get one from here in a bit. You can even lay your own design over a template and have them make it.
I do have a favor/question if anyone with some free time and Photoshop skills wants to help me out. I wanted to take the logo from either my blog or site and put it on a decal but I have no Photochop abilities at all. If anyone wants to lend me a hand can you e-mail me @ [email protected]. Thanks all.

But it is worth mentioning again. I bought the Territorial one on Tuesday. I'm going to post pictures of mine after launch.

Best Buy Online Order.
Madden is showing "Order in process of being fulfilled; Usually ships in 1 - 2 days."
The controller and system...nothing yet. Hopefully the whole package will ship by Monday.
No charge to the CC, but hopefully, that'll come soon.

Same here.
CC not charged yet, Madden in process, controller and console backordered.
It would probably have to ship today for a chance to get it on Tuesday, which I doubt will happen. Hopefully we can get it before Thanksgiving.
I wouldn't mind getting Madden early so I can see if I can swap the game for another.
Has anyone seen the games at Best Buy?, I have at Target.
If I get the game the same time as the console, I know damn well that I will keep it.

There's a massive preview of DOA4 up at 1up.com. A noteworthy quote about the reason for the delay:
I really wish the Madden folks (and other developers) would do this. Bring in total experts to come in and be guinea pigs to help tweak the games.

Still, Itagaki is so determined to make sure that DOA4 is as polished and fluid and fun as he can make it that he pushed back the game's release so he could put it through an intense, Marine-style boot camp of balancing and tuning, bringing in six of Japan's top DOA players to test it from midnight to noon every day for four weeks straight.

I upgraded my BB order from 2 day to overnight just yesterday. It was cool because they were actually helpful and I could see the status change right before my eyes. I didn't want to risk not getting the system before Thanksgiving...
A couple of notes about my call to BB: the rep told me (are they in India, btw?) that I was very lucky to get the 360 via the web. He said the traffic during the preorder crashed the site for a while and that they received thousands of calls that day.
He also said that, like any order, they could take anywhere from 1-3 days to process it. I hope that means they are processing NOW or SOON and that all the bundles will ship by Monday. That's the decent thing to do, isn't it?

Well, my Target had the system set up and they had a bunch of accessories. Looked like a few wireless controllers, faceplates, memory card, Hard Drive and a handful of games. It appeared they had the system set up with composite cables too

Moore scotches "conspiracy theories" over Xbox 360 shortage
Rob Fahey 16:28 18/11/2005
Every effort being made to secure large day one allocations, says Xbox VP
Microsoft VP Peter Moore has made scathing comments about the "conspiracy theories" over the potential shortage of Xbox 360 consoles on the impending launch day, saying that the company is trying to supply as many units as possible.
Speaking to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Moore - one of the key architects behind the new platform and its global launch - gave short shrift to the concept floated by some commentators that the launch shortages are being manufactured to make demand for the console appear higher.
"I've seen all of the conspiracy theories," he said. "Somewhere in Roswell, New Mexico, we have a hangar where were stockpiling it, creating false shortages. No.... It's ridiculous. We are trying to get as many units to retail as we possibly can."
However, Moore admitted that many consumers will probably be disappointed on the launch date, not least because some retailers have overestimated their allocation of consoles and taken preorders for too many units.
While the notion that Microsoft is deliberately manufacturing the shortage of consoles has become surprisingly widespread, a rather less interesting but more truthful explanation lies in the firm's decision to launch the system worldwide within the space of a few weeks - a first for the console industry.
This strategy, while it has proven popular with publishers and consumers alike, means that the number of units which will be shipped in each territory is severely restricted. Despite this, Microsoft's approach is almost certainly the right one - as Sony, who delayed the launch of the PSP in Europe by nine months after the Japanese launch due to supply issues and were faced with a massive volume of importing of the device as a result, can probably attest.
"When the dust settles, it will be proven to be the right thing," Moore told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer regarding the global launch, "and it will become the default way that you launch a videogame console in our industry."
