Ridge Racer 7 announced (with screenshots). What a surprise! An RR game as a launch title. Looks the same as EVERY other RR game.

Not a huge surprise about a new Ridge Racer. While they are simplistic racing games, they do offer a moderate amount of fun. Ridge Racers (PSP) was a great looking launch title that offered some fun on the platform. Compared to PSP game now, it can't compete, but as a launch title it worked well.

PS3 is seriously going to change the way we think games are supposed to look. I have 0 doubts that since all games have to be done from the ground up vs strait ports via simple PC software is needed, that a whole new level of realism and graphics are going to be achieved. And this is all launch games which are usually crappy looking. Imagine what happens once devs get comfy with the Physix engine and multi-core setup. Exciting times ahead? DAMN STRAIT THEY ARE!! E3 cant get here fast enough.
p.s. - that rant was due to watching the indiana jones video posted above, you gotta see it.

Like this spoof E3 poster someone made regarding Sony and Nintendo's booths being right next to each other:

PS3 games will look great. So will 360 games. I doubt differences will be significant. In fact, according to past developer statements we should expect minimal differences.

By the way, it's pretty interesting that the 360 thread has less than half the replies of the PS3 thread, even though the 360 has been out for months and the PS3 won't be out for months. Microsoft would probably be better served by getting out of the videogame business after the 360 has it's run. Gamers are conditioned to gravitate towards the PS3. Microsoft won't be able to change that or have any impact on this industry other than being a secondary player.
Stick with what you do best Microsoft, which is software OS and browsers. Don't let your videogame business run my Microsoft stock down.

IMO - MSFT is doing a hell of a job in the gaming world. I initally swore off the first Xbox, but bought one and loved it. Having three consoles only helps development of new and more exciting games and systems. Without the stiff competition I'd be willing to be that something like the Revolution probably wouldn't have happened, for the online gaming movement in consoles and handhelds (Live/Sony's Hub/DS's Wi-Fi).

I'm no fan of Windows(I'm a mac guy) but I love my 360. Like the others mentioned it's the third "compendium" thread, then you add in a "looking for a 360" thread, a few misc. threads and a dozen and a half threads for every game and there is way more interest on this forum for the 360 than PS3. That is of course using your way of estimating interest... i.e. forum posts.
The buzz for the 360 has died down, you can find them on shelves so now it is all about the games(and random problems). Revolution and PS3 have a lot of hype behind them because there has been next to nothing revealed about either. MS has shown their hand so the excitement is in the other two's court.
There is plenty of interest and room for all three. E3 can't get here soon enough.

BTW, I will still probably get one, just for the f'ing exclusive F1 game.

And at least the PS2 didn't require you to buy a $30 remote control before you could play DVDs on it.
