March 20th! Woo hoo! That's right around the corner. I hope the PC version is playable out of box -- which sadly a number of other recent RPGs have not been.

I watched the trailer last night on the 360. OMG, what a beautiful game. And thats just on a standard 25" tv. I can't imagine what it looks like on a nice, large, hi-def TV.

Looks like I'll be getting a 360 soon, seeing how I was waiting for Oblivion.

Now, hopefully I can find a Premium pack. I've seen a Core pack, but no Premium.

Saw it on my brother's 42" plasma on Sunday. It looked Fuckin' Beautiful.

Gotta bump this thread. My reason for owning a 360 hits stores next week. I already scheduled Wed-Fri off from work. This week can't go by fast enough.

Wow, I never played Elder Scrolls but everyone that I talked to talks wonderful about it. I bought an xbox on eBay and it looks like I will be picking up this title as well, or hearsay alone.

I doubt you will be disappointed, these games are truly amazing. And I'm not even an RPG guy.

According to the official Oblivion FAQ, you can toggle back-and-forth between 1st and 3rd person views.

It's going to be an amazing game just like the previous elder scrolls were, but they're not for everyone. They are completely open ended so you have to be willing to spend the time to explore and find how you want to play the game. I played Morrowind (the previous game in the series) for hundreds of hours and still probably didn't do half of what could be done.

Between Tues night and the next Sunday I don't plan on doing anything but sitting in front of my TV playing Oblivion. Gonna have to pick up a lot of coffee and red bull.

I know that the game isn't meant for online play, but I think a cool expansion would be for players to go against each other in the gladiator arena. That'd be a fun mini-game diversion.

Tuesday can't get here soon enough.

This truely is going to be one of the longest weeks I can remember. On top of waiting for Oblivion I should be signing papers on a new car tonight so I'll be waiting in anticipation of picking it up too. But all this does also mean that next week is going to kick ass.

Czar, Pretty soon you'll end up with a second 360 for your wife to play as well.

I don't have a 360. My computer is pretty powerful and can play anything I've thrown at it so far (FEAR, HL2, CoD2). It's a Pentium D with a GeForce 6600 GT card. The specs for this game is apparently a 6800 card. Do you think I'll be able to play with my current set up or any chance that the specs come down a bit? I'm always confused with this computer stuff.

You may not be able to play the game with the graphics at the highest setting, but I bet you'll be able to play it.

Ok, so lets begin to talk about where this game will be the cheapest. I am hoping that it will be out at Fry's for about $45 or so.

As a newbie do you recommend the Collector's Edition?
