Where is this imperial city shack you speak of? Is it the same as that shack behind the waterfront? I was thinking about buying that one.

In the market district there is an Imperial Bureau of Living or something like that. It's the only one that isn't a store. The lady in there offers it for $2,000.

Man this game is crazy. I put it in for a bit last night and planned on getting the Bravil mage's reccomendation, and I spent 2 hours messing around doing stuff like letting a rat jump into me for the armor and blocking skills.
I was in a dungeon and the was some lady pickpocket down there, I would sneak and hit her with an arrow, and she would come at me hard and smoke me 2-3 strickes, and that was WITH blocking. Should I save her for later, or will she get stronger as I do? I wish I knoew the name, but I don't recall, other than it was.
I just found in the guide it was Umbra in Vindasel (Vin Diesel?) which is along the road to Bravil, if the waterfront were an arrow, it would be pointing at the place, just on the otherside of the water. Apparently it is part of a Daedric quest
, which I guess I haven't even heard of yet...

I've been working on the Dark Brotherhood quests. I just reached eliminator rank. I cracked my first hard lock last night, manually. I think I finally got the timing right. I noticed that when the pin is in just the right position it makes a slightly different sound. I can almost unlock them now without even watching the screen.

What does everyone consider beating this game? I think this is what I am going to do...
1. Main quest - so far, ive closed about 5 or 6 gates (the first was the hardest)
2. Fighters Guild - im master
3. Mage Guild - im arch mage
4. Arena - im grand champion
5. Thieves Guild - just started
6. Dark BH - just started
7. Daedric Quests - done a few of them
Ive also done alot of misc quests, but I probably will just play until all of those things that I mentioned are completed. Am I missing anything?? Is there actually a point where the game ends??
Right now, im at about 80hrs, level 27.

Nope, the game never ends. I guess you can get to a point where you've completed every available quest but the game will still go on. I've completed pretty much everything except the fighters guild and some random quests from the towns.

That one was fun. But I still enjoyed "Whodunnit" better.. But I had fun with that one.
Found a nice helmet today for some deep sea diving.
Waterbreathing, detect life 20 ft and nighteye. Makes it easier to see underwater.

I didn't notice that. I'm not too concerned though as I'm trying to bump my Strength right now as opposed to Endurance.
I think I'd still rather have the Expert skill though. Thanks for the heads up. Now that my Int. and Willpower are maxed out, I'll be concentrating more on Endurance.

I'm getting pretty sick of the clean disc error on the 360. It happens even when I've cleaned the cache or whatever holding down A does. It's happening almost every time I play.

I would return the disc and get a new one if possible. I've never had a clean disc error message. I've had a few lockups here and there, but no error messages. Sounds like you have a bad disc, and the cache clear thing is meant to fix problems with the information on your hard drive, not the disc itself.

Call me crazy, but I had this game from the first day it was released and I am just having a ton of fun going out and getting into fights, looting the bad guys I kill, selling thier stuff and starting the whole process over again. btw, I also have about 75000 gold
I have a feeling I am really going to pay for what I am doing though. I was at about level 20 when I did that kavatch gate, and it was no walk in the park. Yet I have seen alot of posts here saying that they did it on level 1 and it was real easy. It was not even close to easy for me

I've mostly been doing all the miscellaneous quests in all the towns as I tried to get the mage guild reccommendations. Those were kind of fun. Hope I don't get into too much trouble with the main quest stuff...sounds like there will be a lot of group fighting too.
I'm kind of leery about doing the Dark Brotherhood quests though. Not big on murder, even if they are imaginary people.

I'm acutally kind of looking forward to restarting this game again and being forced to do things the hard way again. Especially knowing everything I do now about the game and how all the stats and stuff work.

Granted, my characters is kick ass right now. Level 27. Strength is around 85 or so (100+ with enchanted armor).
So, most enemies in oblivion, I can kill with 3 sometimes 4 swings of my sword (I hate those damn daedric spiders the most!!).
Im fully equipped with enchanted glass armor (cuirass that adds to strength, gauntlets that add to blade ability, boots that add to speed, helmet that adds to endurance, shield that adds to strength, necklace that adds 125pts to feather, ring that adds 18% to shield me and a couple other rings that I swap out for various reasons).
I have all daedric enchanted weapons too. Since my armorery skill is over 75, I can increase the effects of the items. Its sooo awesome when you get to that. I think my daedric longsword does damage of 28 or so....the claymore does 31 at 125%.

I found boots of the shark which are supposed to have waterwalking ability, but when I jumped into the water, I still sunk!? Is there something I am missing, and yes they are equipped.

In Oblivion water walking still lets you go under water. Just move up and you'll walk on top of it unlike Morrowind which would not let you go under at all while equipped.
