Damn. Must have been nice. I couldn't believe how many creatures they were throwing at me. It was harder than any other mission I've done up to that point. Yet another reason why monters shouldn't change/level up with you.

Would you go so far as to say the world is a vampire?

What i hate are dread zombies. The bastards are out of 28 days later and quick as can be plus they regenerate. They suck.

I have not seen a troll regenerate yet, or a zombie for that matter. When does it happen? Within seconds of bringing him down, or does it take a while?

They don't regenerate that i have seen like in D&D as in dying and returning to life. The dread zombies just regenerate as you are fighting them. If you have your cursor on them you will see their life bar refilling at a decent clip.

Heroin is good too. In fact if you could spend a weekend playing this game while drinking some beer, shooting some heroin and smoking a little crack. You may as well kill yourself because everyday of the rest of your life would pale in comparison (this is of course assuming that you survive the overdose in the first place)

Hardly.

If you do absolutley everything in the game (which is still unlikely, as joining one guild, or taking on one mission could negate another), you'll clock in around 150 hours, give or take.

If you only do the main missions just to progress the story and get to the end, it should take you around 25 hours.

If you know what you're doing and want to speed through it, you could do it as quick as 15. I can't think of any game that has a 15 - 150 hour range of completion.

Morrowind has a 7m 30s - 200 hour completion range

A while ago in this thread someone mentioned how they did that trick where you hold the button on startup to clean out your cache or something to speed the game up and in the process they lost a ton of items they had stored in containers. My question is, does this cache trick also clean up the bodies that are laying around all over in the game?

I just got my first enchanted staff and used it up already. How do I recharge it? I also used up my enchanted sword, which I would really like to get back into action.

Blade, thanks for the tip about going to the ghostship to get the ectoplasm, even though it turned out that I wasn't really ready to go up against the ghosts. I picked up a silver shortsword from someone I killed and decided to take on the ghosts. The first ghost was pretty easy, but the next pair and the final pair were a nightmare. They killed me multiple times. Finally I decided to just run like a wuss out of the ship to heal myself, but the damned things followed me. Lucky for me though, the lady that asked me to go into the ship started fighting the ghosts with me, as did the rest of the town people that were on the dock. Even though the ghosts pretty much ignored them and continued to come after me, the town people weakened them enough so that only a few sword slashes were needed to finish the job.

If you go to the mages guild there are people who you can pay to re-energize your magic weapon. I believe if you get one of your skills high enough you can do it yourself but you would need to talk to a mage player more than me.

I do wish being a vamp made you a little more of a badass though. It honestly seems a tad underpowered, but the negatives are so minor it is probably better this way.
Speaking of which, did you have any luck at the shrine or another way of curing your speed problem or perm weapon damage deal?

It has vanished. One day i noticed my speed was normal again but nothing has changed on my character. I even had spent many days resting/waiting so maybe it took time to wear off but if it did it took like 15 game days or something.

Duster, if you find a varla(I think it is a varla stone) you can click on it in your inventory and it will recharge all your magical items.
The other choice you have is to use a soul gem to charge an item. Or you can find someone in the mages guild or some stores have people that can recharge items for you.

Have you tweaked Oblivion, and if so, how well did it go?

I was running it at 800x600, with most everything set at the middle (the only thing I maxed out were textures), and while it was playable, I wasn't getting the FPS I wanted outdoors.

Now the only tweak I did was set the grass from "80" to "120" in the game's ".ini" file (which cut down on the grass/folliage by 25%). That one change made it run SO MUCH better that I turned up almost everything else (except for shadows and AA). And since it still ran so well, I then bumped up the resolution to 1024x786. And it still ran great and much better than it did with the old grass-setting at the lower resolution.

It helped so much, that I'm flabbergasted that changing the amount of grass isn't in the regular options.

So even though I now have a little less grass (which isn't even that noticable because it's only 25% less - not to mention, there was way too much grass anyways, as it would hide a lot of itmes or enemies that would be attacking me), with the extra resolution and other details AND increased frames, the trade-off was MORE than worth it.

Anyone else try a tweak that worked well?

Quick question here. Can you join the thieves guild and still be part of the fighters guild, or will they cast you out if you do so?

Still only in the fighter's guild myself, but I read that you can join all guilds without a problem.

There's a Daedric Artifact called the Star of Azura that functions as a reusable grand soul gem. Before I got this thing, I was carrying several enchanted weapons and a lot of soul gems.

No I just use this thing repeatedly to keep the same weapon charged through a dungeon. it's very useful. Be careful. The main quest shows you this shrine, and you have to give up a Daedric artifact for this quest. It's a really good idea to keep the star and find another shrine for an artifact to waste.

When you go into your atributes page (strength, intelligence, willpower, agility, ect ect) and see that some of them are in red letters and lower than usual, how do you cure them? I bought some potions and it took care of a couple but not all. Is there an easier way to cure this they by buying potions? Thanks

Try getting blessed in a Church, I think that cures most ailments.

mrmagoo, also make sure that you aren't wearing any enchanted equipment that may have negative effects on your attributes. I bought an aegis cuirass that had a permanent -5 luck attribute with it.

I've been playing way too much - when I got out of the house today, I drove by a flower bed outside someone's house and was wondering if any of those flowers were dragon's tongue or redwort flower... I'm trying to get back into the mage's guild after getting suspended for stealing.
