MC&Visa probably have higher fees which would offset any savings you get from shopping there since they would pass that cost on to the customer.

I guess that makes sense. I figured it was the opposite though. Alot of places don't take American Express, and I use it all the time for gas, bills, groceries, etc. I pay it off at the end of the month, so it works great. Plus, it's a Gold Rewards card, so that helps.

The manager is suppose to stand outside and hand out tickets to those that want to purchase one. So call in everyday. My store gets shipments at approximately 12 in the afternoon.

I was just at Best Buy and heard one employee telling another basically the same thing about that retailer newsletter they have (or whatever it's called). He said "we're trying to keep it quiet, but you know how the internet is". Since I was standing right there and practically part of the conversation, I laughed and said "man, I got $10 that says when I get home, the newsletter will be posted on the internet. And another $10 that says by tomorrow, each stores allocation will be up as well". He laughed and agreed. He was not sure of the day they are coming in, but for sure this week, and they will be sold the day AFTER they get the shipment in.

That free XM Airware is a nice little bonus for employees!

Anyway, assuming those policies for the 360 are followed, that is definitely an improvement.
No employee sales, printed tickets, no holds, etc.

My 360 finally arrived tonight!

I still wish I had ordered some place besides GameStop.com, but I'm happy the ordeal is over.

So are there normally lines every morning at Best Buys since the Xbox launch? Considering what I've done so far, showing up at open seems reasonable enough.

Check your local Kmarts this week. 360s will be trickling in. Not sure which version, though.

It's official, Cooter at my Walmart said the Xbox 360 has been recalled. He said it was something that happened out in California.

I was in WalMart earlier tonight at around 11:30 or so, and over the sound system they announced that they just got two, yes two and only two, 360's in stock and it was a first come first serve deal. My initial reaction was to instantly start to dart back to the electronics department...but then I remembered how expensive it would be, and that I didn't have the money for that at all right now.

It was still cool to actually hear that they had it in stock. I'm sure they were grabbed almost instantly though. I was up near the front of the store, and the second they said that, a woman who looked like she was in her 40's or so started wildly asking where exactly she needed to go to pick one of these up.

I tried this morning. No dice. I wish Best Buy was closer than 20 miles away, but what are you going to do? The kid at the door told us they'd put a sign on the door a week before they get more so there could be another camp out. I just rolled my eyes and continued on my way.

I grabbed King Kong for $20 while I was there for a friend for Christmas though, so it wasn't a total waste. Gotta love those $10 coupons.

Still up. You can remove any item in the bundle except the controller IIRC. I was so nervous it would sell out I bought everything but the only thing I dont need is the memory card. Can I take that back to Circuit City? If not Ill sell it to Gamestop et al.

I got:
• Xbox 360 Premium System
• Additional wireless controller
• 64MB memory unit
• Project Gotham Racing® 3

For $539. Plus faster shipping ($28) and tax ($34) and it came to $602.80.

ETA: 12/22 - 12/27

I wish I would have cancelled the memory car ($40) and then paid for fastest shipping ($48) and I would have it tomorrow. Oh well .

The mix of Tax and Shipping turned me off, I want a system, I just don't want to pay so much. Does that make me greedy? $55 in shipping and taxes. yeesh. Only $20 more than it would be here though...

Call them, and I bet you can change your order. It should be allowed. Doesn't hurt to try.
