A little after midnight, one answered and told me that bestbuy.com would be releasing systems at some point during the night. So I decided to go ahead and stay up all night, clicking refresh and watching movies. Sure enough, I finally nodded off for about 15 minutes and in that tiny window of time, status went from 'Coming Soon' to 'Sold Out'. Right now I'm agreeing with the poster who said they were probably going to just wait for the PS3.

I bought the pro gamer bundle...I will return Quake 4 (maybe get Kameo to get the wife interested in the 360) and take the double reward zone points. Plus the 2% back thru a rebate site makes it a little better.

I was just looking at that thread and people are able to add the Premium system to their cart by going to a product page and pasting this into their browser:

'javascript:fnAddItemToCartWithAccessories('1126591945634','7457637')'

My question is, what are the chances of those orders being fulfilled. If I buy one, it's going to be mostly with giftcards. I'd hate to place an order, have it cancelled and have to deal with BB customer service to get the $ amounts put back on my giftcards.

Not the end of the world, and I’m glad I’m home rather than in that line freezing my ass off right now.

Anyway, time for some rest…
Li did you go to Wooster?

I'm not sure why Microsoft is releasing so few units, but don't give up if you really want one. After the holidays the mad rush to get a unit will be over, and they'll start staying on shelves for longer than 2 hours.

I'm personally just hoping for longer than 2 minutes.

I was thinking of heading over to Home Depot to get my Dad a gift card (since I have no clue what to get him for Christmas) and there's a Best Buy on the way(a different one than the one I mentioned last night that had 20 people in line at 5pm). Think it's remotely worth my while to head over there and check?

I really think they are making them as fast as they can. I believe if they were able to flood the market right now with a million more units, there would still be a high demand for the unit and that would add an additional million unit lead over the PS3, which is what they are trying to do.

If I was told there was 15 people holding for 15 people I would tell them all to fuck off and freak out, and that there would be fights breaking out if someone comes and tries to cut in front of me.

After reading all these stories, I'm pretty sure I'll either bite on an online deal for PS3, or pay some outrageous price on Ebay. Shit, I imported a PSP at an outrageous price, so I really have no excuse not to do it with PS3.

If you read these stories you'll see an online deal was difficult to get at best.

Went to best buy last night for something unreleated. Saw about 30 people in line out front. They must've been getting a shipment in. Crazy. I took a picture so I could laugh at them with my friends.

Oh, I know that. In fact, I got my PS2 in March 2001 by hanging online and waiting for the message boards to pop up with deals. Of course, that was back when PlayStation.com had there own online store (now you have to go through the much larger SonyStyle site).

Those $1000 bundles seem to stick around quite a while, and I wouldn't hesitate to grab a bundle like that when the time comes.

I'm just hoping some pop up on Amazon.com, would love to use my 25% off WC from the Amex deal. It isn't quite a $150 XB360, but it ain't bad.
