Well, the wireless router still isn't up yet.
I did, however, find an e-reader sitting in a back corner of the store today, so I'm going to get some e-cards for the GC version.

Here's a link to the pattern maker I was talking about via in-game chat. It's from the same site that had the Mario Kart DS decal maker:

I've got a nice DVD Talk pattern in my town, so you'll have to come visit to check it out.

hmmm How old is the original gameboy? I think someone stole my gameboy and there was this big thing with our parents. Got it back though. Damn I'm old.

Oh I see, after you upload the pick you want you go in and match it up by hand. I was trying to figure out how the heck you download to the DS.

Man, the digging holes around Baron while he was away from his DS and leaving him stuck there for awhile sounded pretty funny. I guess I left town too soon. Very mean, I will make sure to have a shovel with me at all times when my town is open.

Good times, good times. In Hell, Scott buried in the Baron behind the museum. We found him just standing there and since he didn't have a shovel he was stuck. So funny!!! I'll try to open my town tomorrow night. Nook is closed for his second remodel today so it would be pointless tonight. I'll visit another town though but later, my DS needs to charge.

I've never played AC before, so to me, this thread reads like some sort of messed up acid trip. Would any of you guys mind summing up AC DS in just a few words? I've been thinking about buying it, mainly because of the WFC ability, but I'm not totally sure I "get it". Would it be fair to describe it as Nintendo's version of The Sims?

I finally got my wireless router set up. I opened my gates for a bit, although I don't know how long I will keep them open tonight, since I picked up Ultimate Spider-Man and Lost In Blue today and am interested in checking them out.

This post is a message to all of you other obsessive compulsive Animal Crossing collectors/completionists who can get online via wifi. Every day, I clean out every item in the stores that is not yet in my catalog, even if I don't want/need it, just so it'll be in my catalog. If there are others like me, we can speed up the collecting process by helping each other out.
I was thinking we could meet online in somebody's town once a day to temporarily swap items. Each of us would drop all of the new items of the day onto the ground, then we'd take turns going around and picking the items up then dropping them again. Even though the items will be in your inventory for a minute, they'll still be added to your catalog. When it's over, everybody picks up what they brought and goes about their business.
Let me know if you're interested so we can schedule a meeting.

I don't think I saw this posted but I can't place any items upstairs - will this option be available in future upgrades?
Last night I was able to connect with someone online (thanks Princess T) and left some cherries and got some pears. I haven't seen any of the other characters around yet (Redd, the walrus, lyle,) but hopefully they will appear soon.
I'm pretty bummed abou the lack of holiday events (no christmas, thanksgiving or halloween) was there a reason these were taken out? I enjoyed trying to collect the furniture and other items in the GC version

Knee-slappin’ Nintendo uses Animal Crossing to sneak a barb in at Record Industry. This can be seen by listening to K.K. Slider’s song in the basement of the museum. After listening to the entire song, you’ll get a copy of that song. The quoted dialogue above then takes place. Any idea about how Nintendo’s opinion on downloading Mario for free?
I don't have a DS yet, but I plan to get one in the near future. Is there any word of an Animal Crossing DS bundle? If not, I will probably get the Mario Kart DS bundle. The red is a pretty cool color.
