CAN'T. STOP. PLAYING.

This game just gets better and better, the more you play, because your skill is constantly improving. I'm now on Texas Flood on medium, and have unlocked all of the songs in the game. I especially like playing Even Rats by The Slip.

This game is just great. This is the only game I've played since I got it...

I am loving this game! Finished finals for school and picked this up and been playing it since. I'm almost done with all the songs on medium. I really like that Cream song, I forget the title. I always mess up on the red+blue chord. I need to work on that. Right now I pretty much have a finger for each key, but seeing as how my middle and pinky don't like to work together I will probably start shifting. Will probably have to to move on to the harder levels anyway. Rock on!

does this game even help your "real guitar playing play better or anything"

That's what I have to do most of the time for the red+blue chord. Every now and then I can get those two fingers to work together, but it's not something I can do every time yet, and that screws me up unless I shit down.

I don't play guitar really, not like you would on these songs. If anything, this game would only really help you with your ear for music, moving up and down the neck, finger movement, rhythm, eye-hand coordination, and other things like that. You are not going to be able to jump from this to real guitar (if you can't already play), but it may help things come to you a bit easier after playing this game.

I have beat all of the songs on easy and medium and now I'm working on getting ***** on all of the easy songs, and hopefully on all of the medium songs. Then again, I might be able to settle on **** for some of those medium songs. I might try for 100% for all of the easy songs also. I've only completed one hard song, since I've only tried that one, the very first one.

Been playing that and getting better and better at it on hard. Medium I am at around 95+% perfect. ... Well.. with Family Guy/ American Dad repeats ... I am off to play that song!

UPDATE: Got through it on hard with 92% notes hit... so went to expert... Woah...

Got through first time , but 79% hit... expert is really hard and very fun to play!

Man, hard is killing me. I just can't get the hang of adding in the orange button. Gonna need more practice before I can get that down. Tried Smoke on the Water and was doing fine until I came to the solo towards the end. Crap in a sock, that's the first time I've failed that song.

I was doing fine on hard until Smoke On the Water also. I felt great after finishing the first three, then that one hit me up side the head. It isn't that bad until that solo, like you said.

I did manage to finish I Love Rock & Roll on expert though, but that's a very easy song, even on that difficulty.

I'm stuck on the last 3 songs of Expert. I know i will NEVER get Cowboys from Hell expert. It's even harder than Bark at the Moon. Frankenstein I can get like 87% of the way through it, then I fail out.

I'm getting better at Hard. Made it through the first 10 songs last night. My biggest problem, is when I actually move my hand down (I use 4 fingers), so that my pinky is on orange, I forget which fingers are where. Then I'm hitting yellow when I mean to hit red, and everything just gets all screwed up. I can move my fingers that fast, I just forget where I moved them.

I just got this yesterday. My mom gave it to me as an early XMas present. I must suck, cuz I can't even get through all of the songs on Easy yet. Of course, I've probably only played for 2 hours total, but some of the notes that are really close together are hard for me to pull off.

When I played this morning, I seemed to do a whole lot better than last night, and beat a bunch of songs on Easy /w 95+% on the first try. Then I got to that Cream song, and I just can't do it. I haven't played the song until failing yet, but I keep missing a bunch of notes and restarting. I know it's just a matter of practice, and eventually I'll get it, but man, is it frustrating! Fun, but frustrating!

Anyone tried using a $10 off coupon from Best Buy for this game?

Just curious if the "$10 off any accessory $29.99+" or "$10 off any game $29.99+" works on it.

I'm certain the game one will. Don't know about the accessory one. They certainly won't both work together (unfortunately). Last week, the game was $59.50 or so online; don't know if that deal is still good, though.

Man I want this game, even though I'm sure it'll kick my ass even on easy. I loved Amplitude and Frequency though I was bad at them as well.

Passed all of Easy with 4 stars on the first try....

Medium....I passed all of them on the first try except the Queens of the Stoneage song. Now I have 5's and 4's on all of the songs...for medium.

Just moved up to hard earlier today......and.....boy I'm not use to moving my hand to hit orange yet. Only passed the initial 5 songs.....I guess I might have to learn how to do those advanced techniques.

But this game is great. My friends are going to buy it now from just playing it once.

I'm improving alot. I got to the last stage on hard with only Frankenstein and Bark at the Moon left. I mainly got by some of the tough songs by saving the crowd boost on the difficult sequences and just hitting a few of the notes through it. I usually just barely get by with 3 stars on most of the hard songs. It's always those long super fast solos that go up and down the neck repeatedly that get me.

And now I'm stuck. Can NOT get past Crossroads or No One Knows on Hard. It's that stupid blue/red combo on No One Knows. Apparently, my middle and pinky fingers together are slightly slower and stupider than all other finger combos. And that second guitar solo on Crossroads is just nuts. So I went back and started getting higher star ratings on medium. Before I threw my guitar at the TV.

Is anyone having problems with their guitar? Sometimes, when I try to get the hero power going, it just doesn't. I have to whack the back of the guitar a bit to make it start working again. Also, where in the guitar is that sensor located? Would help to know in order to more properly whack it into working in the future .

Also, I finally beat Cowboys from Hell on Expert last night. It was the last one I had to go in that setting (opened up a battle axe guitar). Got 5 stars in every song in groups 1-3, 4 stars in most others with some 5's spread through. My favorite would likely be Texas Flood, not too rediculously hard like Bark at the Moon, but enough action to make it interesting. Woo! I hope they hurry up with a new version .

Alternate way of activating the crowd boost thing is by hitting the Select button on the guitar. That's what I usually do, since I always mess up my combo when I try to fling the guitar upwards.

Just played this at my local Fry's... Lots of fun.. Almost picked it up

Once you start to master the game, you'll find the perfect places to squeeze in the crowd boost. I think it's more rewarding doing it that way. I used select for a while though. Now I'm going through extreme and I feel so cool while playing it. ESPECIALLY when I do the tilt for the crowd boost.

I got it today for Christmas. Even though I suck at it so far, I'm going to keep on rocking and I'm never going to stop. I'm going to keep on rocking and someday I'm going to make it to the top.

I was hoping there'd be a thread on this game. I got it for my 8 year old, but I can't put it down. I haven't played a video game this much in a long time. He opened it for Christmas this morning and we haven't put it down since. It take some practice, but once you got it, it is extremely fun. Game of the year. Pure genius. I wish they would sell another guitar controller in the store. You have to order them from www.redoctane.com. Recommend to anyone looking for some fun. Oh, if you do need to order another controller, they've got a cherry one on the website. Addicted.....gotta.....go..play.....now........
